    (James) She’ll appreciate that, I don’t think she’s eaten a thing all day (Tina smiles) Well it’s for you as well, I imagine you haven’t either James smiles as Tina places the bag on his desk and he glances at her as he opens it and removes some boxes. (James) You’re a lifesaver, I appreciate

    (Tina smiles) Don’t mention it

    Tina looks towards Bette’s office.

    (Tina) How’s everything going here?

    James raises his eyebrows and exhales.

    (James) Well, this is probably the most stressful situation I’ve seen in the time I’ve been here. We’ve had so much to do in so little time

    James nods towards Bette’s office.

    (James) And she’s stressed, don’t get me wrong

    He looks back to Tina and shrugs.

    (James) But honestly, I would have expected far worse

    Tina smiles and James smiles back at her.

    (James) I assume I have you to thank for that

    Tina smiles, placing her hand affectionately on his forearm.

    (Tina) Well I don’t know about that, but I’m glad things have been OK

    James smiles.

    (Tina) Is it an OK time to interrupt her?

    (James) I’d obviously be turning anyone else away, but yes, you can go right in

    Tina smiles at him as she moves towards Bette’s office.


    Tina reaches Bette’s office and leans in the open doorway, smiling at Bette as she stands looking over various plans laid out on her desk.

    (Tina) Hey

    Bette looks up at her and smiles.

    (Bette) Hey, what are you doing here?

    Tina enters and places the takeout bag on the coffee table.

    (Tina) I brought you some lunch

    Tina turns to face her and they smile at each other as Bette reaches towards her and pulls her close. Bette wraps her arms around her waist, and Tina brings hers around Bette’s neck as they smile into a kiss. They draw back and Tina runs her hands down Bette’s arms.

    (Tina) How are you doing?

    (Bette sighs) OK, I guess. It’s a scramble to the finish line but I think we’ll get there

    Tina nods.

    (Bette) Thank you for lunch

    (Tina smiles) It’s fine

    Bette pulls her closer, sighing as she leans in and kisses her neck.

    (Bette) God I can’t wait for the weekend. There’ll be last minute stresses next week I’m sure, but I should be able to tune out a bit for a couple of days
