Tina throws up her hands.
(Tina) I don’t fucking know why Bette! But it’s not because you’re secretly in love with me, if that’s what you’re concluding
(Bette) How do you know that? Really Tina, how?
Tina finds her keys and walks around to the driver’s side, and Bette also moves around the car to follow her.
(Bette) Tina you need to talk to me, and you need to get me to talk to you
Tina shakes her head as she reaches for the door handle.
(Bette) You need to tell me how you feel
Tina turns around, taking a step towards her and looking at her fiercely.
(Tina) I have told you
Bette stops and looks at her. They both stand still, looking at one another intently. Bette frowns.
(Bette) What have you told me?
Tina holds up her hand and gives her a look of warning.
(Tina) I’m not doing this
(Bette) You’ve told me that you want me back?
Tina looks away and shakes her head in exasperation. She looks back to Bette.
(Tina) Yes
(Bette) When?
(Tina) A year ago
Bette searches her face as she takes this in.
(Bette) You got engaged a year ago
Tina looks downwards and rubs her forehead.
(Bette) Tee, tell me. What happened a year ago?
Tina continues looking downwards for a moment, before raising her eyes to Bette.
(Tina) She asked me to marry her, and I asked for some time. And I then spoke to you in that time
(Bette) And what did you say to me?
Tina looks away and shakes her head, and then looks back to her.
(Tina) I told you that I’d say no, if you asked me to
Tina gives an exaggerated shrug, and Bette takes a breath.
(Tina) I told you that she had proposed and that if you wanted to do something about that, then that was the time to. To talk to me. To do anything
Bette frowns and takes a breath.
(Bette) And how did I respond?
Tina laughs.
(Tina) You did absolutely fucking nothing
Tina raises her eyebrows and shrugs.
(Tina) You left without saying a word and then didn’t answer my calls for a month and would only respond to emails. Then you went back to your usual cold treatment of me
Tina shrugs.
(Tina) And then I accepted
Bette takes a step towards her.
(Bette) Tina, you cannot marry her
Tina rubs her forehead.
(Bette) Tee, you need to talk to me, properly
Tina closes her eyes and shakes her head.
(Tina) Bette, you won’t talk to me, about anything
She looks to Bette.
(Tina) What am I supposed to do Bette? Spend my life alone because I can’t fucking get over someone who can hardly stand to be in the same room as me?
Bette takes a breath.
(Tina) This
She gestures between them.
(Tina) It’s the past Bette. I’ve had to accept that. And I’m sorry, but you need to as well
She turns back to the car and opens the door.
(Tina) It’s time for me to go and hope I haven’t completely fucked up my future
(Bette frowns) Where are you going?
Tina gets into the car and reaches for the door, pausing and looking to Bette.
(Tina) Toronto. I don’t want to see you again until all this is over
Tina closes the door, and Bette stands still and watches as she pulls away.

Tina is running scared, I hope she ends her engagement because it is the right thing to do. I would not want to marry someone who is in love with someone else. I also hope once Bette regains her memory, she remembers the time she spent with Tina. Will be interesting to read which one finally admits to the other they are in love and want them back. Is Bette’s reason because she thinks Tina would be better off with someone else? Looking forward to the next chapter. Love your story
Wow! The plot thickens. Damn you Alice but thank you Alice. They had enough cheating in their past, they have to get together again while clearly being single.
Kit’s take on the situation is very sweet. Getting to know her sister at an age that she previously missed.
Bette seems to be right about Julia. I guess Bette pretended to be with her only to come with a plus one to Tina’s engagement party. I do hope that Angie will be able to shed some more light on Bette’s behaviour towards Tina.
It’s going to be even more complicated now that Tina goes to Toronto. Maybe it’s time for some heartfelt letters from Bette.
Waiting for the next part will be tough! I’m so looking forward to it :)
Wow! Why did Bette just walk away? Why did she not tell Tina she was still in love with her? Tinas basically asked her permission to get married and Bette said nothing? The plot thickens! PPS
Well, I must say that I cannot figure Bette out. What was her thinking not to have a discussion when Tina ask if there was a chance for her and Bette before accepting marriage. Then again, if Tina was going to give Bette another opportunity to be in her life, why accept a marriage proposal with Sarah? Does this not indicate that Tina is not ready for that relationship either? That to me makes not sense either. Tina moving forward with Sarah because when she has feelings for Bette will only lead to heartbreak for both Tina and for Sarah. If I were advising Tina, I would tell her to go do some self evaluation and meditation and not to do anything until Bette has recovered her memory…. nothing with Bette and nothing with Sarah. Bette could regain her memory and conclude that her Tina avoidance was nothing but a façade’. Tina needs to make her choice based on her own happiness and if that means Bette…. it means Bette. But it obviously does not mean Sarah… for she is not “in love” with Sarah.

Yessssssssssssss this episode was EVERYTHING and MORE!!!!! That argument scene was theee best. I love how Bette was challenging her and fighting. She was trying but I understand Tina doesn’t want to get hurt again. I love this story sooo much. I’m always anticipating and counting like ok I think I’m going to see this story title pop up today. Thank you ! I’m ready and patiently waiting for the next chapter.
