They talked about Angie and about Suzanne. Then they talked about what they should wear to the wedding and finally they talked about Tina’s painting. Bette was interested in seeing more of Tina’s work, but she was not ready just yet. She did let Bette know that most of what she was doing were going to be gifts to their friends. This peaked Bette’s curiosity even more.

Bette: You haven’t painted any more nudes, have you?

Tina: No sweetie. I have not. I am not going to revisit that until possibly in the spring if then. But with the response I had, I might could sell those rather quickly.

Bette: Yes, you could. I have no doubt. But I would rather not know a that painting of my wife’s body was hanging in someone’s home for them to drool over. I’m wouldn’t be thrilled with someone wanking off to a portrait of my body was well. I’d rather our bodies be private.

Tina: That’s one of the reasons why I haven’t done another set of them.

Bette: I really don’t have the right to tell you what you should paint and what you should not paint. I shouldn’t have said that. I’m sorry.

Tina:  Bette, there is nothing to apologize for. And no, you are not telling me what to paint. You are merely expressing your preference that our bodies – yours and mine not be on public display. And I understand that. I’m just going to have to change the bodies or use a new model for any future nudes that I might do.

Bette:  Humm… I need to think about that. I don’t know how I feel about you staring at a nude woman all day long.

Tina: Well, I could get a male model and paint a male nude.

Bette: Better. I’m kidding honey. If that is what you want to do, I trust you to handle yourself in an appropriate manner. After all, it’s just a body and you are a painter.

Tina: Thank you sweetie. Tell you what, if I decided to go in that direction, I will discuss it with you before I start. There will be no surprises. Okay?

Bette: How about I take you to bed and make love to you? Isn’t that how dates are supposed to end?
