Chapter 2
“Christina!”
Oopps! Must have zoned out more that I thought. Snapping my attention back to my mom she was clearly in full swing.
“And now you’re not even listening when I am speaking, the rudeness of you child!”
“Again, I’m sorry Mom.”
“Don’t even bother Christina. Go to your room and do your homework until dinner is ready, we will be entertaining guests this evening, and I expect you to be on your best behaviour. Do you understand me?”
“Guests, who’s coming?”
“Do you understand Christina!”
“Yes, yes I understand, best behaviour, no problem.”
“Go, upstairs now.”

Thump, Thump!
My brother hammered on my door for the third time in as many minutes.
“What do you want Drew?”
“Mom says you have 10 minutes before company arrives.”
Rolling my eyes, I returned my focus to my phone and the conversation I was having with Alice.
“Did you hear me, Christina? “
Jesus, he’s even started sounding like mom and dad.
“10 minutes, got it”
So, what was up with Dana earlier? T.
She thinks she not attractive enough! A.
WTF? WHY NOT? T.
Harrison… A.
What about him? T.
They haven’t slept together yet, she thinks he doesn’t fancy her. A.
In fairness he doesn’t, but that’s only because he’s as gay as the day is long! T.
That’s just his feminine side according to Dane…A.
Just then I heard Drew stomping back up the stairs and heading for my door.
Shit Al, got to go. Talk tomorrow. T.
Throwing my phone on the bed I was reaching for the door when the banging on it started up again.
“What?” I huffed as I wrenched the door open.
“Hey babe!”
“Eric, why are you here?”
“Dinner, your mom invited my folks over earlier.”
“Oh” Shuffling past Eric to head downstairs I suddenly felt myself being pulled back to Eric.
“What, don’t I get a hello kiss?”
Hoping that I managed to hide the revulsion on my face at the suggestion, or that Eric was just too stupid to pick up on it I slowly lent in towards him.
“Sure”
Kissing Eric was…Dull. It felt like a chore, like taking out the trash, you don’t necessarily want to do it, but you know it must be done. Eric hadn’t been my first kiss, and to be fair to him, he wasn’t the worst kiss either. It was just, dull. No spark what’s so ever.

They both are in so much trouble.
Teacher-student relations often end badly and according to the prologue, this will be the case. That said, there are exceptions, Macron and his Brigitte in France for example !
Interesting story, can’t wait to read more soon.
You are right about that, given the prologue i do think it didn’t end well for them, especially for Bette.
I’m enjoying this interesting story. Looking forward to see the developments in Bette & Tina’s relationship.
Highlights for me – The earring, as a true Tibette fan, I loved that moment when their eyes locked and they were holding hands.
And, yes! – The Shawshank Redemption is one of the best movies and an all-time favorite of mine.
