    Chapter 2

Later in the week, Tina and Helena are wandering around an Arts and Crafts market together. They chat to each other as they move through the stalls.

(Tina) Thank you for bringing me here, I love it. And I know it’s not really your thing

Helena smiles as she casts a discerning eye over a table of jewellery.

(Helena) Yes, well I can’t say I’ve been here before, but I asked an interestingly-dressed person at work for a recommendation

Tina shakes her head and smiles at her.

    (Tina) Well, I appreciate it

They continue on, Tina stopping to rifle through a basket of scarves at one of the stalls. Helena smiles as she watches her sort through the pile.

(Helena) So, where did you leave things with Bette Porter?

    Tina looks up at her.

    (Tina) Well, nowhere, of course

Helena looks at her and Tina shrugs.

(Tina) As I said the other night I’m not interested in any entanglements. They always slip towards something I don’t want. We had a great time, and we’ll just leave it at that

Helena nods as Tina wraps a scarf around her neck and looks in a mirror held up by the stall owner.

(Helena) I know that’s what you said but I was there. I saw the two of you together and I couldn’t help but wonder if it might go beyond one night

Tina glances at her as she smiles her thanks to the stall owner and they continue on.

(Helena) You were practically glowing every time you returned to the table after speaking with her

Tina slaps her arm with the back of her hand.

    (Tina) I was not

(Helena laughs) You certainly were. And you weren’t alone. She bounded out of her seat every time you so much as looked towards the bar

Tina smiles as she stops and casts her eyes over a table at the next stall, and Helena watches her for a moment.

(Helena) Bette is an interesting one. And despite your denials I think it’s pretty clear she’s piqued your interest

Tina looks over at her and Helena shrugs.

(Helena) This could be a situation you could consider keeping an open mind about? See how it goes?

    (Tina) Helena

Helena raises both hands as they move on to the next stall.

    1. Wow, so Miss Tina is playing coy with Bette. Enjoyed her time with Bette but decided it was nothing more than the many other nights she had spent with others. Rather rude… but okay. Let’s see what happens in the future..

      Thanks for the chapter…
