    Chapter 2 – Day 1 – Redondo Beach – July 14

Angie: So, we children will be over there with no adults?

Tina: Not hardly. Kit and Sonny will be over there to provide adult guidance where needed.

Daniel: Do I need to move my stuff out of my room to the media room?

Bette: Yes, Angie why don’t you help your brother.

Tina: Bette, can you order some beer and wine for the week. Have it delivered or maybe we can get Shane to go pick it up? Then hopefully we will have Jordan and Shay to help put it away.

    The doorbell rings.

Bette: Well, here are our first guest?

Tina: Probably the groceries I ordered.

Bette goes to the door and there is a short Hispanic man with a set of hand trucks with three boxes loaded with vegetables and fruits.

Bette: Hello, yes that’s for us. Would you wheel that on around to the kitchen? Is there more?

Delivery man: Oh yes mam, I have about 15 boxes of food for you.

Bette: Tina this is a lot of food.

Tina: Yes, we have 17 in the house plus two more coming on Friday. Plus, we have that barbecue on Friday evening. So, it’s a big food order. Can you help me put it away?

    Bette: Oh absolutely!

After the delivery man starts to leave, he asked that they sign a receipt. Bette then tips the guy generously.

Bette: Thank you so much. You made my life a lot easier.

The delivery man smiles: Gracious. This is most generous. Please call if you need anything else.

Bette: You can count on it. Have a good day.

Bette and Tina start to empty the boxes putting the refrigerator items up first. The doorbell rings. Tina answers the door.

Tina: Helena and Dylan. So nice of you to come. Come on in. (Tina hugs Helena and then Dylan)

Helena: Am I early? That would be a first.

Tina: No, its fine. We are trying to get organized to get ready for this crowd.

Bette comes over and greets them both and then says: Come on let me shows you to your room.

Helena: I am so glad that you guys are moving back to the west coast. You just do not know how much we have missed you guys.
