“In high school I gained a lot of weight and  was teased profusely about it..After I graduated I vowed to lose the weight..I went vegan and started a strict exercise regimen which I still do to this day..So long story short they were doing a modeling show for charity in town and I volunteered because I was proud of myself for achieving the weight loss and gaining my confidence back..I had no experience but little did I know my agent was in the crowd that night and approached me. She brought me out here to LA and trained me for 6 months before I started taking gigs..And well the rest is history..I owe her everything” Tina finishes and looks down at her hands

“Is that why you are doing this?” Bette asks

Tina nods “Mostly..But I’m also doing this to help you. I don’t know you but I know what it is like to have everyone against you”

Bette shakes her head “That’s totally not the same Tina..I caused this myself..You didn’t do anything wrong..You can’t compare the two”

“Maybe not” Tina shrugs letting it go and looks at Bette “So same question for you..How did you get into acting?”

“Well my parents threw me into it when I was a baby really..So it’s always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember..I started out doing commercials at 3 and by the time I was 11 I was getting small parts on TV shows off and on until..”

“…you got a lead in the Darlington TV Series” Tina interrupts

Bette’s eyes widens “You watched that?…I was 17 when I started and 22 when it ended..That lead me to film roles which of course you know my situation now..25 and out of work”

“Of course I watched it..I was 12 when it first came on..It was one of my favorite shows..You were adorable in your pigtails”

Bette winces “Ewwwww..Don’t remind me..I was in my awkward teen years then.. I wasn’t  pretty to look at”

Tina moves closer to Bette and leans in by her ear..Bette could feel Tina’s warm breath on her neck..Goosebumps began to spread down her arm

“So you do have that birthmark below your ear” Tina smiles and pulls away

Bette clears her throat “Uh yeah..It’s more famous than I am” Bette says gathering herself

Tina chuckles and the question and answer session continued until Tina’s phone vibrated.

“Oh right” she says after looking at it  and setting it back down on the table “That was a reminder for my flight to Paris on Friday for The fashion expo..I’m walking in it and you are traveling with me”

Bette panics “Wait what?..Don’t you think that’s too soon”

Tina rolls her eyes..”Bette we already gave the world a show with the kiss and left them wanting more….You are an actress Bette..Just treat it like an acting job..That’s all you have to do…But your ass is taking the sofa in the hotel room..Got it?”

“Fine..But what if I want to sneak a woman in?” Bette cocks an eyebrow studying Tina’s reaction

Tina rolls her eyes..”You will not sneak your conquest into our room..Sneak off and find a dark place somewhere and don’t get caught..I don’t want to have to turn on the fake water works and play the naive hurt girlfriend…But technically we haven’t publicly announced our relationship..We should do that in Paris”

Bette shrugs her shoulders “Ok Boss”

Tina smiles pulling Bette up out the chair..”Let’s dig into the pinwheels and vegetable tray and discuss the pre fashion show party we have to attend”

Bette frowns as Tina pulls her over to the table remembering the words Tina had said..Just treat it like an acting job..Should be easy enough Bette thought
