Daniel showed his room off.  Angie was impressed with how different Daniel’s room was from hers. It was darker in color, more masculine but well laid out for his needs. His room had a lot of blues with some black and white accent pillows and rugs. He only had one window, but a complete wall was book cases which held his collectibles, books and photos. She noticed that he had a framed photo of her from the summer and one which was a family favorite of Angie holding baby Daniel when she was about 9 or 10. His closet was well organized and in perfect order. This was something that he had adopted from Bette and was a little more precise at it than she was.

Angie and Suzanne thank Daniel for allowing them to see his room, hugged him goodnight and would see him in the morning. They then went to say good night to Mary and Margaret when Bette and Tina decided to go ahead and give them a tour of the master suite. Mary and Margaret went to Mary’s room to watch some television and would see the girls in the morning.

Bette showed the off seasonal or second closet first as it was on the left side of the hall. Suzanne saw Bette’s doctoral robe and Bette said she had to get it to attend the graduation ceremonies in December at UCLA. She hoped that one day, she too would own a robe similar to that.

They visited Bette and Tina’s private study and then on into the master suite. Angie was astounded in that to her it was a quarter of the house in size and its colors and layout were so comfortable looking. Tina showed the girls the balcony and its furnishings. Suzanne had never seen a room so beautiful and so comfortable. The took a tour of the bathroom, the walk-in closets, and then they saw the two pieces of art on the wall.  Angie stopped in her tracks and stared in amazement. Tina turned on the spot lights which gave a clear view of the two nudes.

Angie:  Mom? These are yours, aren’t they? You painted these didn’t you?

Tina:  Yes, Angie. These were the third and fourth pieces that I started, but the first ones I completed.
