At one point Peggy took Tina aside to arrange for them to meet for dinner the following week so they could talk. She was heartbroken to learn of Bette and Tina’s breakup; then to learn that Tina was dating Helena. She’d always liked Tina and know how important Tina was in Bette’s life so she wanted to reassure the blonde that their relationship wouldn’t change under the circumstances. Tina was relieved to hear it because she didn’t want it to be uncomfortable for either one of them to socialize as a family now that Peggy was home to stay.

As the evening ended Bette, Emma, Alyson, Tina, and Martha once again boarded the limo for their drive home. Martha was dropped off first as she didn’t live too far from Peggy’s then the foursome headed to West Hollywood. Bette was exhausted and once inside the limo she nestled her head in the crook of Emma’s open arms and dozed off to sleep. Emma looked down at the mocha beauty and kissed her forehead as her breathing evened out in sleep. A feeling of overwhelming love washed over her. Bette looked so peaceful and it made Emma hold her love even tighter as if in a protective shield to make sure nothing would ever disturb that peace again.

Emma was very proud of Bette; her accomplishments and her deserved position as the head of the Peabody Corporation but she couldn’t help but worry that they hadn’t yet come to the end of the Helena Peabody nightmare. They’d lived with it for almost a year of trying to outsmart and outguess Helena’s next move only to find out that the most sinister piece of the plot had slipped by them. Although it had been revealed at the eleventh hour there was no telling how much damage had already been done or how much more they could expect before it was over. Emma closed her eyes and tried to block out any negative thoughts but before doing so she glanced towards the front of the limo where Alyson and Tina were sitting close talking quietly. They seem to be getting along very nicely.

Alyson and Tina didn’t want to disturb the other couple so they’d moved to the furthest end of the seating near the front of the car so they could converse quietly. They found that they shared backgrounds in film and both held advanced degrees in film production. Tina told Alyson about her career as a Development Executive at Shaolin Movie Studios. Alyson talked about her years at the Whitney as a Film Curator.
