    Summary:
    Chapter 4

    The next morning, Tina wakes in Bette’s spare room and takes some time getting ready before making her way downstairs. She makes a pot of coffee and turns from her position at the stovetop when she hears Bette enter. They smile at each other.

    (Bette) Good morning

    (Tina) Good morning. I hope you don’t mind, I thought I’d get a coffee going

    Bette looks at her curiously and Tina smiles.

    (Tina) You probably don’t mind then?

    Bette smiles and raises her eyebrows.

    (Bette) No

    Bette takes a seat at the island bench.

    (Tina) How are you feeling?

    (Bette) I feel fine

    Tina pours them both a coffee and glances over at her, and Bette shrugs.

    (Bette) Still in 2002 though

    They smile at each other as Tina places a mug on the bench in front of her, and Tina then takes a seat diagonally opposite her.

    (Bette) You’re driving Angelica to school?

    Tina nods.

    (Tina) Yes, and then I need to go into work. I have some meetings today that I really can’t postpone

    Bette nods as she picks up her coffee.

    (Tina) But Shane will be over in a minute, she’ll spend today with you and then I’ll be back this evening

    Bette looks at her and nods.

    (Bette) OK

    Bette has a sip of coffee and then looks to her.

    (Bette) Should I be at work today?

    Tina smiles at her over her mug as she has a sip. Bette looks at her for a moment and then smiles back at her.

    (Bette) You’re surprised I haven’t asked about that yet?

    Tina raises her eyebrows and smiles as she places her coffee back on the bench.

    (Tina) Extremely

    They smile at each other.

    (Bette) I guess I’ve had other things on my mind

    Tina nods and examines her for a moment.

    (Tina) Well I decided I’d wait for you to bring it up, I didn’t want to add any more stress unnecessarily

    Bette nods.

    (Bette) So, do I still have a gallery?

    Tina smiles and nods.

    (Tina) Yes, it’s very successful. Extremely successful actually. You’ve done an amazing job with it, and you wouldn’t believe some of the artists you’ve shown over the years

    Bette nods and looks to her coffee. Tina watches her for a moment and then clears her throat before continuing.

    2. So Bette is going to try to win Tina back, despite Tina having a fiancee and Bette a relationship with Julia, good for her, they belong together and if this is the way to rediscover each other, I’m totally for it.

      Why do i have the feeling Alice can’t keep her big mouth shut and will tell Julia?

      Great story, look forward to read the next chapter!

    3. I’m a little concerned for Bette and her future possibility with Tina. Nice to have a goal, but before she starts to put any thing into motion, she needs to know the general environment she is working in and what it is that everyone else knows that she does not. That is what broke them up and what has kept them apart for the last 15 years? My fear is that they are going to be get hurt and without a good reason except that Bette is being who she was some 15 years ago.. What ever has happened is still apart of their history and has had its impact even if Bette does not remember. So unless this condition is going to be permanent, Bette needs to proceed slowly with her decisions and objectives. And the doctors say it will not be permanent.

      Thanks for the chapter…. it is getting interesting.

    4. I am looking forward to the next chapter to read what happened between them. Bette didn’t want any type of relationship with Tina before her accident. I hope the current partners stay away for a while.
