Dr. Wilson:  Any other unusual events?

Bette:  Well, yesterday morning and this morning while making love, I became drenched with sweat.  I had this heat wave that originated in my core and just swept over my body.  And I wasn’t doing anything unusually strenuous.

Dr Wilson:  How long did this heat wave last?

Bette:  a couple minutes at the most. Tina then got me a bottle of water and a towel, and I seem to return to normal.

Dr. Wilson:  Tina are you experiencing anything like this?

Tina:  No nothing like that.

Dr. Wilson:  Are you lubricating adequately during sex?

Both:  Yes

Dr. Wilson:  And when you sleep, are you sleeping through the night?

Tina:  Yes, usually 6 hours at least and our 2-hour naps, we almost always sleep.

Dr. Wilson:  Any other unusual occurrences? Are either of you on any medications?

Both – No, nothing.

Dr. Wilson:  How much alcohol are you consuming per day?

Bette:   We have about 2 glasses of wine with dinner. And occasionally we have a beer or two. But we mostly drink water.  I say we average no more than 2 drinks per day.

Dr. Wilson:  When was the last time you were tipsy or intoxicated?

Tina:  It’s been at least 10 years for me, what about you Bette?

Bette:  I think that’s right.  I think when we were separated about 10 or 11 years ago.

Dr. Wilson:  Do either of you smoke or indulge in recreational drugs or prescription drugs?

Bette and Tina:  No

Bette:  I used some pot about 10 years ago but never after Tina and I got back together. I smoked a bit back then too.

Dr. Wilson:  Okay, when was your last period, Bette?

Bette:  I had to look this up – March 15^th

Tina:  My last period was – May 12^th.

Dr. Wilson:  Are either of you possibly pregnant?

Both:  No…

Dr. Wilson:  Okay, let’s go weigh you both and get your height and put you in a room for your exam.

Dr. Wilson led them out the door and turned them over to a nurse. She asked them to take off their shoes and measured their height and then weighed each of them and recorded their weight. She then put Tina in a room and Bette in the next room.  A nurse would then be along to take their blood pressure, their pulse rate, and their temperature. They were instructed to get into their gowns and a nurse would be by to get a sample of blood. They would then receive their physical exams.
