    (Tina) I loved watching you in there Bette looks over at her. (Tina) It was mesmerizing (Bette frowns) The art? (Tina smiles) No, you were mesmerizing. I couldn’t take my eyes off you. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much emotion in someone’s eyes before She looks over at Bette and examines her for

    (Tina) I loved watching you in there

    Bette looks over at her.

    (Tina) It was mesmerizing

    (Bette frowns) The art?

    (Tina smiles) No, you were mesmerizing. I couldn’t take my eyes off you. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much emotion in someone’s eyes before

    She looks over at Bette and examines her for a moment.

    (Tina) It’s your passion, isn’t it?

    (Bette smiles) It is

    (Tina) Well let’s see more then. There’s a gallery in Andratx, let’s head there next

    (Bette smiles) It’s ok, one gallery is enough for me

    (Tina) Are you sure?

    (Bette nods) Yes, very sure

    (Tina) Well, ok then, but let me know if you change your mind. I wouldn’t at all mind seeing that passion in your eyes again

    Bette smiles over at her and raises an eyebrow.

    (Bette) If it’s passion you saw then I would have thought the look might be familiar to you

    Tina smiles.

    (Tina) Well, maybe a little

    Bette reaches out for Tina’s hand and pulls her towards her, stopping them both in their tracks as she wraps her arms around her waist.

    Tina meets her eyes and sees that same glint there that she saw in the gallery. She raises her hand and runs her thumb across Bette’s lower lip.

    (Bette) You can see it now?

    (Tina smiles) I can

    Bette smiles at her.

    (Tina) And how does it compare? The passion you feel for art, and people?

    Bette smiles.

    (Bette) It doesn’t compare

    Tina takes a breath and looks at Bette, who is smiling back at her.

    (Bette) Art is wonderful, and the right piece always sparks something in me. But there always comes a point where I’m happy to step away

    She raises her hand and softly runs her thumb across Tina’s cheek.

    (Bette) I don’t think I’d ever tire of looking at you

    Tina looks at her for a long moment, before smiling back at her.

    (Tina) Do you charm a lot of women with these words?

    Bette laughs.

    (Bette) No, actually. I’m very much one for boundaries, and I rarely see someone more than a handful of times

    Tina studies her.

    (Tina) That surprises me

    (Bette) Well I think my friends at home would be surprised to see how I’m behaving with you

    2. :D Tina is on a mission to find Bette’s tattoo! She’ll probably inspect every square inch of Bette’s body just to find it. I bet they’ll both enjoy the search process;)
      I’m loving every moment of this adventure, katynd, which started out in the scenic island where my all-time favorite tennis player still lives! (#VamosRafa) Tina’s backstory is quite intriguing and I wonder if Bette is updating her friends about this wonderful turn of events. I’m in for the rest of the ride and I can’t wait to find out what happens to their deep, mutual attraction once vacation is over and they go back to the real world. Hopefully, they’ll find a way to keep their hands, fingers and day-to-day, ordinary lives intertwined. As always, thank you very much for writing and sharing this lovely, well-written story, katynd!
