Bette stops tracing the birthmark and grabs Christina’s hand in her own. “Fascinating Christina. It’s almost as if you were purposefully marked. Your entire lineage from your mother’s side”
Christina chuckles slightly turning on her side to look at Bette intently. Her eyes soaking in the love radiating from the vampiress’ own eyes “My love…I was purposefully marked to be your soulmate” she says brushing her lips against Bette’s “I was destined to love you for now and for all eternity” she says in a low sultry tone flicking her tongue lazily across Bette’s lips as she slung her right leg over her body lifting herself up and straddling the vampiress beneath her.
Bette waves her hand slowly as the buttons of Christina’s blouse slowly push through their buttonhole one by one.
“Taking your time?” Christina asks looking seductively at Bette as the last button slips through its buttonhole revealing Christina’s perfectly shaped bare breasts. Her nipples already hardening from the wind still gently blowing over the cliff from the Pacific Ocean below
“My love…There is no rush when it comes to you. I want to savor every moment” Bette replies twisting her hand as the blouses slips off her shoulders falling against Bette’s cloak and with a tight clutch of her fist the blouse is yanked away coming to rest on the blanket beside them. “You are so beautiful” Bette says as her eyes begin to glow red and raises both off the blanket wrapping an arm around Christina’s waist as she removes her skirt and underwear with a swipe of her hand and flips them over as they land softly back on the blanket. Bette had quickly stripped of her clothes in the process and was now hovering mere inches above Christina
“How do you do that so quick?” Christina giggles wrapping her arms around Bette’s waist pulling her down on top of her
Bette runs her slender fingers through Christina’s hair “Many..many..many..years of practice”
“Oh.”?…You had many lovers did you?” Christina asks incredulously
“I have not. I was involved with Jodi when you and I met but I have told you of that situation and it was not of love. I can not tell her why I had to stop our relations. She is suspicious but I can not let the coven nor the council know I have broken the doctrine by being with you. You are my heart and my love..My one and only… But I am risking your life” she sighs feeling conflicted

I agree with Billy….. why is wrong with Tina? Why is she sweating and running a fever? She slept all day and did not realize it until she woke up? That means her internal clock is not working properly. That only happens when for most people they have been under the influence of an anesthetic or strong sleep inducing drugs.
Carmen’s sudden alliance with Kit is surprising. She seems to have a lot of unique skills that the others do not have. Being a vampire and a metamorphite is truly advantageous. Can she be trusted? Helena was able to detect Kit’ meeting with Bette, will she be able to detect Carmen’s meeting with Bette as well? Is this a trap for Bette?
Now Bette is a vampire and a shape changer with extraordinary strength. What else can she do which we do not know about.
I am a little concerned for Tina. She needs to be embraced which I take to mean she needs to become a vampire as well. Perhaps this illness is the impetus which will propel her to that decision. If she is sick and near death, she may readily consent to being embraced to be immortal and Bette’s partner. That is merely a guess…

I was wondering if she was accidentally infected, since one of Bette’s fangs grazed her. If Bette doesn’t turn her she will die. I obviously watched too many vampire movies. Enjoying your story.

I hope Tina doesn’t need to be turned. In fact I hope that somehow all the mystic stuff will help Bette to change herself back. Maybe it is the process of regaining more of the memory of the previous Tina that makes her body ill or weak.
Not sure if Carmen can be trusted and if Kit will be strong enough to withstand Helena.
