“Yeah we are,” Tina said, as she put the menu down and slipped her fingers back into Bette’s. needing that physical contact.
“I’ll bring it over,”
Tina and Bette walked over to the gang, looking around at Alice, who was watching them, Shane half listening to Jenny, who was talking to Tanya. Dana nodding away at whatever was being said. Bette got Tina a chair and then sat next to her.
“Tina, question,” Tanya said, looking at her.
“Hello to you, too,” Tina said, “What’s your question?”
“How easy is it to write a good script?”
Tina wanted to laugh.
“Depends what kind of script it is, comedy is harder than a romantic. Also depends on your writing style, and if you can get someone like to me like it.”
“Someone like you?” Jenny asked.
“I’m a script developer.” Tina said, “I recently went back to my old job at Alphaville,”
“I thought you’d given up your job?” Dana said softly. “To have a child,”
“I decided it wasn’t working for me. So I’ve gone back to work,”
Bette slipped her hand onto Tina’s leg and Tina moved closer to her. She needed a lot of reassuring recently and Bette’s physical touch was becoming important to her.
“As long as you’re happy,” Bette said looking at Tina, smiling softly.
Kit walked over putting their drinks down, and Tina’s bowl of fries.
“Thank you Kit,”
“No problem.”
Tina started to eat, as the conversations around the table started again, Alice hadn’t spoken she was watching Bette and Tina. Tina was happily eating,
“Would you like some babe?” Tina asked softly.
“Please,”
Bette eat some of the fries. Tina looked around at her friends,
Alice looked over at them, her eyes narrowed.
“Where have you two been?”
“At home,” Tina said without missing a beat, “Mostly at home,”
“Mostly?”
“Yeah sometimes we go to work,” Bette said, getting where Tina was going with it.
Tina grinned before finishing her fries. She drank some of her drink before getting up and going to the counter.
“What can I get ya baby girl?” Kit asked, smiling at her sister in law.
“Something sweet, if you have anything?”

When oh when will Alice understand that when she is told it’s a private matter, she should just leave it and respect that.
Great that they are getting on the right path.
So happy to see they’re on the right track. Alice is always lovable and annoying at the same time.
