Chapter 7 – Saturday with the Family
Bette: Coffee for right now. Let’s wait until the kids get here and then we will decide on breakfast. There is no need for you to spend your whole morning in the kitchen.
Tina: The kids will be down in about 15 minutes or so. Julio, could I have some water as well as coffee please. I’m a little dry.
Bette: Do you need help with that?
Tina: No dear. Behave!
Julio brought in coffee and water along with the morning newspaper.
Tina: Thank you Julio. Are you sure Helena would approve of us reading her paper before she gets the opportunity?
Julio: Madame Helena instructed that you should receive the paper with your coffee.
Bette: Well, that was nice of her. Thank you, Julio.
As they were enjoying their coffee and waiting on the kids, both Helena and Dylan joined them at the table. They were surprised that no food had been served.
Tina: We are waiting on the kids. They will be down shortly.
Dylan: Well, what have you two planned for today.
Bette: We haven’t spent a whole lot of time with Daniel this week, so today we are doing something as a family which Daniel wants to do. He said he wants to go to the beach and have a picnic and fly kites. Then this evening he wants to go to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. I think the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra is presenting some Broadway hits. It’s a part of their summer concert series.
Helena: So, will Jeanette be performing?
Tina: Yes, she will be a part of the orchestra.
Dylan: Well then you may run into Paris tonight.
Bette: I hadn’t thought about that. We had dinner with her and Jeanette a few nights ago. But if she wants to sit with us, I’m sure Dan will be pleased. But he is going for the music. He loves live music.
Daniel and Angie came into the dining room and took their seats. Julio brought in a glass of juice, a glass of milk and a glass of water for each of them.
Helena: And what would we like for breakfast?
Tina: Helena, why don’t you decide? We will all have whatever you are having.
Dylan: That sounds good to me. Why don’t you order for the table?
