    (Tina) I wondered if you might be free tonight. Alice is going out, I thought maybe you could come over, I could cook us dinner? Bette smiles at her as she considers this. (Bette) Well, dinner sounds lovely, but how would you feel about coming to the house instead? Tina smiles at her. (Tina) I’d

    (Tina) I wondered if you might be free tonight. Alice is going out, I thought maybe you could come over, I could cook us dinner?

    Bette smiles at her as she considers this.

    (Bette) Well, dinner sounds lovely, but how would you feel about coming to the house instead?

    Tina smiles at her.

    (Tina) I’d like that a lot actually

    (Bette smiles) OK. And I’ll cook. I’ve improved over the years, I’d like to show you

    (Tina smiles) OK

    (Bette) Are you driving? Or I can pick you up?

    (Tina sighs) If that’s OK. I’ll pick up my car at some point but I’m avoiding it for now, and avoiding going to my house generally. I think seeing evidence of my new life here would just be a bit too confronting at the moment

    Bette nods.

    (Bette) Well how’s 7pm?

    (Tina smiles) Sure

    Tina pauses for a moment before stepping towards her and wrapping her arms around her waist, pulling her close. Bette takes a breath as she brings her own arms around Tina’s back and they stand together, holding each other. They eventually pull away and look at one another.

    (Tina smiles) See you at 7

    (Bette smiles) OK


    Later, having picked Tina up at Alice’s they arrive together to Bette’s house and Bette pulls the car into the driveway. They walk through the front door together and Tina takes a moment to take in her surroundings, with Bette watching her closely.

    (Bette) Are you OK?

    Tina smiles at her.

    (Tina) Yes, it’s really nice being here

    Bette smiles and glances around the room.

    (Bette) Things are a bit different, I thought you might be thrown by it

    Tina smiles as she again takes in the room, before looking back to Bette.

    (Tina) It still feels like you

    They smile at each other and both move towards the kitchen.


    They eat the dinner together that Bette has prepared and Tina is suitably impressed with Bette’s efforts. After dinner, they both are not yet ready to say goodnight and so they decide to watch a movie together. They settle on the couch and Bette flicks through some options on the screen.

    (Bette) Well this is a bit of a dream come true for a film buff right? 15 years of films to catch up on?

    4. Agree that the building momentum is tantalizing! I’m looking 4ward to the intro of Angie to the mix.

      Meanwhile, if Tibette hooks up b4 the Tina-Angie reunion, it will be a pleasant surprise for Angie to see them being civil and loving like they were most of her life
