    Chapter V – Yes, I’m Ready

It’s one thing to hang out with her day after day; sleeping with her night after night is what’s driving me to insanity. Every part of her is turning me on – she made the everyday sensual, even just the simple act of her joining me in bed, after checking and re-checking windows and doors and other things all over the house, provokes an adrenaline rush. That hard body encased in soft, silky skin, folding over mine, radiating warmth and a primal sexuality; it disturbed my internal balance, and not in a bad way.

Rian surveyed herself as she looked at the mirror. Earlier tonight, as they cuddled and chatted about random things, Rian had asked, “Have you ever slept naked?”

“So what would she see if we did sleep naked?” she whispered to herself now. “Time you checked yourself, before you wrecked yourself…”

She spied a quick look at the sleeping figure: Jade was snoring slightly, still spread-eagled, lost in a dream.

She leaned back against the railing, locked her right arm on the railing to help keep her body upright, and pulled her sleeping shirt up with her left hand. Ugghh! This shapeless sleeping shirt. Not the most romantic thing in the world to wear while in bed with the sexiest lover, potentially, you’ve ever had, Rian. What happened to all those thongs and frilly nighties?

“Okay, let’s have a look,” she murmured. “Be honest, now.”

Hmmm … not bad, actually. Still the long and breast-y body type – at five foot eight, I look leggy and athletic (thanks to those punishing work-outs special ops designed for us, and now the strength and conditioning work they’re making me do for physical therapy, which has done wonders to my abs, arms, and waistline), but soft and curvy where I need to be. These 36c breasts I catch her ogling at still sit up high. My legs have shriveled a bit, but the underlying muscle tone is still there. And have I mentioned my ass? Jonah liked to say they were perfect – heart-shaped, firm, and “delectable, I would imagine.” Undeniably “Victoria’s Secret”-runway model stuff, as Dan used to say. I wonder what she thinks of my ass?

Rian was about to slip the sleeping shirt back on when she spied a reflection through the mirror of her red, knee-length silk robe hanging on a stud behind the bathroom door.

    2. Glad to read RIAN is ok for the trauma she has and will endure.JADE redeemed herself rather quickly after all this is the woman she loves.Sure does a body good to know that tonight there is a chance of severe climaxs with a few scattered ”’i love yous” and the rolling thunder of two women in love coming together for the first time. Can”t wait for the post on this one.thanks

    3. I’ve been re-reading all your stories in an effort to pin down exactly what draws me to your writing. First, you have ability to vividly paint a scene by addressing all of your reader’s senses. Sentences like “Fabienne’s heels were rapping out a staccato-like rhythm as the couple traversed the black-and-white tiled floor of the famed corridor.”, feed my sense of sight and sound that virtually put me right in the scene with the characters. Or passages like “Her silky, smooth skin and the natural pleasant-smelling scent of lavender, blossom, linden, peaches and mango that wafted out of her were intoxicating. Her lips were soft and sweet, warm and delicious…” heighten my sense of touch, taste and smell that I can feel the deep emotions of the characters right along with them.

Second, you write characters in such a way that you can’t help but root for them. Each main character, whether it be Bette, Tina, Diane, Jules, Harley, Jade or Rian, is flawed and broken at some level and must go on an emotional journey of self-discovery to find true happiness. As a writer, you give your reader an instant connection to the character by weaving in their inner thoughts, feelings, hopes and fears. As a reader, I feel an affinity toward the character’s struggle because I feel like I actually know her and can a part of me in her.

In pouring over all your works, I particularly like how you maintain a consistent timeline across all the characters and stories, and how many characters and storylines bleed over into each other. You have a well-developed talent in not only writing style that puts me right in the scene, but also in character development that makes me feel like I’m experiencing the moment right along with them. I certainly hope you continue to grace us with your talent and post stories here for years to come.

I tip my hat to Skydancer, you are a rare talent.

    4. thanks Rian live.
the scene the Jade discovers Rian in the restaurant, our!
was awesome, all emotions of hade mixed between joy and
anger, and at the end to find out what really happened, was
      sensational.
And now there’s no reason to live a big love.
      You are fantastic!
      The entire constellation.
