    “Woah Kit!…You look hot!…You got a hot date later?” Tina asked as Kit embarrassingly waves her off “Girl I been in no man’s land for years.  There is no gps around that would even navigate me out if I tried ” Kit chuckles letting Tina step inside before closing the door “You sell yourself short.

    “You sell yourself short. You are a catch and you look great. And I love your hair.. I don’t think I have ever seen you without your apron on or without your hair pulled back”

    “Yeah…My friend Estella had been pestering me for the longest time to do this so she came by with her beauty team today and gave me a total makeover.  I have been waxed, plucked, kneaded, exfoliated and scrubbed..It’s the most action my body has had in years” She chuckles at herself leading Tina into the living room. “Have a seat” she motions for Tina to sit on the sofa. “You care for a drink?”

    “Actually I’m gonna pass.  But whatever you are cooking smells wonderful”

    “It’s my new Tuscan chicken recipe.  I plan to introduce it on the menu next weekend so you my friend are my guinea pig”

    “Kit you know if you cooked actual shit I would eat it”

    Kit throws her head back and laughs

    “You mean you want me to make you a chocolate pie Miss Tina?” Kit jokes making a reference to the move The Help

    Tina winks “As long as you don’t forget that good Vanilla from Mexico to go in it”

    Kit chuckles and shakes her head “Girl you are all kinds of twisted…..And I love it” she says both of them chuckling for a moment before Kit takes a sip of a wine and leans back against the cushion of the sofa.  She looks at Tina thoughtfully.  “So how did it go with baby girl?”

    Tina smiles “I think it went well. She was understanding in why I gave her up and I think she wants to get to know me”

    Kit raises her eyebrows “Really?”

    Tina nods “But I was so scared Kit.  The way she found out.  I wasn’t sure if she would be receptive to having anything to do with me.  Have you talked to her today?”

    Kit shakes her head “I called and left a message this morning and she did text me that she would call me when she got a chance”

    4. The stars are aligning and the moon is in the right phase…. This move for Bette to LA is going to be a trip to Shangri-La. My thoughts are that Bette and Tina are going to at least be in instant like mode… For Bette and Kit, it may take a little longer since there is emotional hurt which will needs to heal…. Emma is going to be fine, provided the adults in her life are truthful with her and do not withhold information even though it is hurtful or reflects badly on themselves. Its important that young people understand that mistakes can happen. And it is best to own those mistakes and do what you can to correct the harm and go on. I think that Bette and Kit are in that situation….

      I am anxious to see the continuation of this story…. such a unique story line…. thank you for giving it to us.

    5. So glad you posted. I really like Erma a lot. And here we do. Bette is on her way. Not going to bet against Martha. Except they may be beyond like almost immediately. This is a very good story, can’t wait for the first meeting.
