Shane got out of the cockpit. She stopped in her tracks as she noticed the picture before her. Bette’s face and the look in her eyes as she gently rested her head against Tina’s confirmed what she had suspected the moment she had seen the women together.
She had known Bette for a very long time. And ever since that morning in Newport Beach, she could tell that something had happened. There was something in her eyes… And it was even more obvious when Bette had come to Vancouver. But what had really struck the young woman was this incredible coincidence of Tina’s assignment in Santaragua…
Then she saw them together, and it took only a few minutes for her to know.
The way they looked at each other… That glint in their eyes…
The young woman didn’t think for a second that there had been cheating. Not that it was any of her business, but she knew that Bette wouldn’t have let it happened. She also knew that this wasn’t just about sexual attraction. She could see the love in the brunette’s eyes. And Tina traveling a few thousands miles to a politically-troubled country was a pretty obvious proof of her mutual feelings.
Shane coughed a little, causing Bette to look at her. She smiled at her friend and said softly,
“We’ll be in L.A. in one hour.”
The brunette nodded with a smile.
Shane glanced at Tina. The blonde seemed to have found a peaceful rest on Bette’s shoulder. She was now smiling slightly in her sleep.
The two brunettes looked at each other for a while. Then Shane nodded softly at her friend, and Bette answered with a sad smile.

A while later, the audible signal instructing the fastening of seatbelts pulled everyone out of their sleep.
Bette and Tina woke up, automatically disengaging their heads that had been resting against each other ever since Bette had herself succumbed to sleep. Aware of the closeness of their positions as they had been sleeping, Tina glanced at the brunette with sudden shyness. Bette was staring ahead, but feeling the blonde’s gaze on her, she turned and their eyes locked for a few seconds. The exchange was intense, almost desperate, as they realized the inevitability of their imminent separation.

I know her business keeps her hopping but I think Helena can feel Tina pulling away from her and that is why she is keeping her distance so she wont have to hear her say she thinks they are better off just being friends. Great chapter by the way.

oh boy i thought this would be a happy chapter :P but pff so much drama.. so please let them be together tonight, i can’t stand a sad tina.. and of course it would be heaven for bette if tina choose her! i never got it why tina maired helena in the first place but grr this is too much! i wanna thank you for this update and i’m looking forward to the next :) i hope to see a very happy bette and tina :D happy newyear to all!

If I was Tina I would have left Helena’s inconsiderate but a long time ago. I hope Tina ends it soon so she can truly be with Bette. Have a Happy New Year
