    Dante’s View

She knew this was going to be a process; a very emotional process for both of them. She also knew it was necessary and Tina was prepared to give Bette the space she needed to figure out if she could trust her again.

    Tina exhaled slowly.

Shane was leaning against Bette’s car when Bette exited Terminal 2. Bette looked at the brunette. Shane gave her a smirk and shrugged her shoulders.

    “Nice car,” Bette teased.

“Thanks. Just a little something I picked up this morning.”

Bette laughed her signature laugh. She was glad to see the young brunette. She needed to laugh and be around the ones she called family.

“What are you doing here?” Bette asked.

“Picking you up,” Shane said in her Shane way.

“I gathered as much. But I was just going to grab a Lyft. How did you know when I was going to arrive?”

“I figured you might need to decompress after your trip. And I got the flight info from James.”

Shane didn’t lie. She did get the flight information from James. She just omitted Tina’s part in the equation.

Bette smiled because Shane was right. She did need to decompress. She had a great deal to process from the last few days and she knew Shane would allow her the space to do just that without inundating her with questions. She exhaled and saw Shane looking at her.

    “What?”

“That’s what you chose to wear for a 6am flight?”

Bette looked down at her attire in bewilderment.

“What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?”

Shane laughed and shook her head.

“Nothing, Bette. Absolutely nothing. I wouldn’t expect anything less. But you are going to have to change for where we are going?”

    “Where are we going?”

    “You’ll see.”

Shane knew Bette hated surprises. She felt Bette looking at her and Shane smiled bigger.

“Shane…” Bette said in her apprehensive tone.

    “You’ll see.”

    Bette sighed.

“Get in the car. It’ll be okay.”

“Fine. But I’m doing it under protest.”

    “Noted.”

Shane laughed and opened the door. She motioned to the seat with her left hand signifying for the taller brunette to get in. Bette rolled her eyes. Shane watched Bette climb into the passenger seat wearing a tailored three-piece navy blue suit with a white collared button down. Her flight was at 6am on a Sunday. Shane shook her head. Her thoughts turned to the call she received at the crack of dawn. At least it felt like the crack of dawn.

Imagine Tears in My eyes, i just Love this Story an Hope for some more Soon

    2. Glad to see you back!

Love is bigger than the hurt but the fear of Tina leaving Bette again that’s simply not something you can get past soon. Tina has to show Bette in deeds that she is committed and will not walk away again but she needs to be careful not to overwhelme Bette to much by over doing it. The hike was a great idea but everything else she has planned can be to much to handle on the same day for Bette.

For Bette, the memories are bringing her sadness, she loves Tina so much but Tina hurt her almost beyond repair by running away. Tina had a moment of clarity when she spoke her therapist, it’s all about Bette’s happiness and maybe Bette’s happiness is without Tina in her life. I as true Tibette fan hope desperately that they will reconcile but Tina, please please give Bette the time she needs and don’t try to shower Bette with to much things you think will let Bette feel your love, a small step instead of doing it all in once, her intentions are pure but can set Bette of.

      I truly love this story

      • Yes, Tina needs to find a balance. She also needs to work on her own inner struggle. She knows she messed up and she’s truly sorry. In the past that would’ve been enough because Bette would’ve forgiven her and taken her back instantly. But this time is different for both of them. And neither of them know how to navigate this new terrain.

    3. Why are love and fear so interconnected? Hopefully Tina can stay the course and let love do its job. You are forgiven for being absent with this excellent post. Keep Shane and the every long suffering Alice on course. #TibetteIsEndGame
