Dean End – Chapter 3 (The Mystery Woman)

Tina: Fuck I have no signal.
Alice: Here let me try.
Alice pulls out her phone and got the same results as Tina…No Signal.
Alice: Damn it, we can’t even call the cops, now what??
Bette: Let’s try to get her up first and go from there.
Bette kneel in front of the woman and spoke softly.
Bette: Hey you think you can try and move?
No answer.
Bette: ok well why don’t we help you up?
No answer.
Bette looked at the rest of the gang who all had weird but frighten looks on their faces.
Bette: Shane, Dana, babe here help me get her up.
The women helped Bette picked the mystery woman off the ground and once on her foot…she stood almost like a statute, not moving any limbs, fingers, nothing.
Tina: Now what?
Kit: This shit is creepy as hell, I mean seriously what in the world was she doing out here all alone anyway?
The woman slowly begins turning her head in Kit’s direction then back to the open field.
Kit: Aww hell naw, you see that!
As much as everyone wanted to laugh, the woman staring at Kit was kind of creepy.
Kit: Look I know when to say let’s get the hell out of here and um…now would be that time.
Alice: I’m with you Kit, her fucking head just spinned like that girl in the exorcist.
Alice begin backing away and moving close behind Kit as if the mystery woman was about to explode at any moment.
Dana: Alice stop over exaggerating will you.
Tina: Maybe we can drive back to that old station and see if he would let us use the phone, then we can call the cops there.
Bette: Back to that fucking creep..
Tina: You got a better idea Bette, what else can we do?
Shane: She’s right, let’s just go back.
Bette: Ok let’s get her in the car.
Kit: You guys go head, I’m not touching that freak.
Bette: Kit!
Kit waved her hands at Bette and started walking to the car with Alice at her toe.
Alice: Wait up Kit, I’m no fool.
Everyone else slowly walked the woman to the car and although she couldn’t have weighed no more than 140lbs she felt like she was twice that much, very heavy and solid. They put the woman in the back of the car on the second row of the SUV where Shane, Jenny, and Dana had been sitting…but now everyone aside from Bette and Tina who were in the front, was piled together tightly on the first row bodies to bodies, cramps legs in between, and practically no arms space to move an inch.
