Dear Diary—Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Bette walked into her apartment after finishing up her second shift at the Planet and headed to her bedroom. She quickly shed her clothes, walked into the bathroom and decided to draw herself a bath. Kit had given her some bath beads when she moved in so she added that to the water and walked back out to grab the diary out of the nightstand.
As she walked back into the bathroom, she turned off the faucet and dipped her hand in the water to test the temperature. Satisfied with the way it felt, she eased herself into the water letting out a sigh. After getting situated and relaxed she let the hot water sooth her aching body and grabbed the diary turning to the next unread entry.

Dear Diary,
I missed school yesterday. They were taking pictures for the yearbook and I conveniently got sick. I have no desire to see my zit face staring back at me. And 10, 20, even 30 years from now I still won’t have the desire to. But I will get a yearbook because I want to have all of Bette’s pictures. Since I didn’t attend here last year for my Freshman year I was able to get one from the office anyway.
Bette looked so cute in her Freshman picture. Her hair was perfect as usual and her smile just sucks you right in. I drew a big heart around her picture. I found all of her pictures in the yearbook and did the same. Oh Diary!! Her cross country picture is hot! Those itty bitty shorts don’t leave much to the imagination. Which is fine by me of course. She has the most gorgeous tanned legs. If I could just run my hands–Whoops!.. Nevermind..Sorry Diary! I will keep it G-rated in here.
Ok..I know what you are thinking diary. You think I need professional help. One because of my obsession for Bette. Two because I spend my time talking you like you are a person. Well sue me. I’ll catch you later Diary.
Bette giggled and shook her head at how funny the author seemed. She was beginning to love the sense of humor that came out in her entries. Not ready to pry herself away from her relaxing bath she decided to read another entry.

Bette is very confident…. personally, I am too clumsy to try to read a book in a bathtub full of water. I would drop it and it would be ruined… and there is no replacement for that diary.
Too bad Ms. Applewhite does not remember… but maybe she will later. As we get older, that is the way a mind works… you know that you know something like a name and it takes several hours for the brain to bring that file up and suddenly you will sit up in bed and the name will suddenly be the only thing you can think of. Its just a few hours after you really needed that information….
Thanks for the chapter… keep it coming.
Thanks for posting again so quickly. Enjoying recalling the story and look forward to more.
