”Yeah I didn’t eat this morning due to my nerves. I’m just so scared that Wendy is going to retaliate and it’s going to get ugly. And Tina? I don’t want you to get hurt in the crossfire” Bette said sincerely as she grabbed her purse to follow Tina.

Tina stopped at the door and laughed uncontrollably which caused Bette to chuckle at first then annoyed that Tina was finding it so funny.

”Oh my God Bette! Are you serious? They call me ”Bulldog” in the courtroom. They dish it out and I serve it back to them nice and hot. I don’t take shit off of anyone. Trust me when I say, I may be blonde, but I’ve got brains and I know how to use them. If they want to get nasty and I can get nastier. I will chew them up and spit them out. I haven’t lost a case in three years Bette. And Wendy’s lawyer is Barry Mason who I have served up on a platter nice and brown complete with an apple in his mouth more than once so relax Bette. I’ve got this!” Tina said confidently as she turned opening the door and strutted down the hall.

Bette grinned from ear to ear as she closed the door following Tina out of her office.

Tina looked at her watch as she waited for Bette to get in her car.

”Ok is there a preference on where you want to eat?” Bette asked Tina as she and Tina buckled up their seatbelts.

”No but there is a nice little cafe a mile or two just down the road. I eat there occasionally when I am on my way back from my morning court cases” Tina replied as her heart was beating out of her chest having Bette so close to her. It reminded her of the bus and sitting next to her on the bleachers.

”Ok that sounds good. Let’s go there then” Bette nodded as Tina pulled out of the parking lot.

10 minutes later Tina pulled into the parking lot of the cafe and parked. She started to grab her briefcase but decided to leave it as that represented work and Tina wanted to give Bette her undivided attention. Just as she and Bette were about to get out of the car her cellphone rang. She reached into her purse and answered it not bothering to look at caller id.
