“Oh that’s nice of her. This way we will get time to talk some more.” Tina said knowing that the last thing Bette had in mind was talking about the past so soon which was sure to get intense.
And sure enough when she looked up she saw Bette’s fallen face with worry in her eyes.
“Relax Bette I was just teasing you. We both know we need to talk but it can wait a while I am sure. Let’s enjoy spending some time together first okay? No worries. No tensions. How’s that sound?”
“That’s perfect. It’s what I had in my mind Tina.”
Both of them smiled at each other.
“So let’s see what’s in these parcels shall we.”
“Sure”
Both of them settled down at the kitchen table and began opening up the food packs.
“Wow this is a lot of food for just the two of us.” Tina commented amazed at the amount of food in front of her. There were pastries, fresh breads, juices, fresh cut fruits; coffees just to name a few.
“I know. Jacky said she wasn’t sure what we would like so she got a few of the popular items together.” Bette said laughing softly.
“I don’t remember meeting her before.” Tina commented as she bit off the small piece of warm pastry moaning into the rich taste and licking her lips.
“She is one of my oldest friends since college but we lost touch after a while as we went our separate ways in search of our dreams. We made contact only recently. I remember the time we all used to spend every other weekend during college engaging into intense discussions about whatever was happening at that time whether it was political or pure academic. It was definitely fun.”
“Mmm, Bette did you try this one?” Tina said nodding and indicating she was all ears trying to listen to what Bette was telling her about her college days but it was clear she was enjoying the delicious treats in front of them more.

That bitch needs to mind her own business. Where does she get off telling Tina who she can and can’t get involved with she’s known Tina all of five years and knows nothing about Bette. What is she in love with Tina or something? PPS

Sounds like this woman wants Tina all to herself. To bad, Tina already belongs with Bette and vice versa.
