Diary of a Mad Addict . . . Chapter 26
Once on the tenth floor and the mission accomplished – signature captured and package delivered — I entered the elevator for the ride to the parking garage and noticed that a COMMENT sheet had been taped to the back wall of the car asking people to list the date, day and time of any problems incurred with the newly repaired elevator. Being the only one on the descent to the bottom floor, I simply couldnt resist detailing a concern I had. I grabbed my government issued black ink pen from my breast pocket and wrote a comment.
After writing the day, date, and time, I continued to describe a foul smell that seemed to permeate through the elevator, becoming quite strong after an elderly gentleman in a pink cardigan carrying an annoying long-haired dachshund had exited on floor #9. I wrote that the man had lifted his leg slightly and leaned just a tad to the right before exiting the car and that even his unkempt mutt sniffled and sneezed as they both got off on their floor. I chuckled to myself as I finished writing the description wondering if anyone would really read it, would really believe it or would try to figure out who actually cut the cheese before going home. An elderly man in a pink cardigan described over half the residents in that frickin condo and I smiled to myself as I walked out the door to my truck thinking maybe everyone in the building would suspect everyone else. What a great little joke to pull on the rich and famous.
Unbeknownst to be my actions were captured on the buildings security camera, one of which had just been installed in the newly repaired elevator. Unbeknownst to me the president of the condo association was an elderly gentlemen who was never seen in public without his signature pink cardigan. Unbeknownst to me this man was nuttier than a Snickers bar and gayer than a rainbow colored feather boa on a stiletto-heeled drag queen.
Unbeknownst to me the man had entered the elevator, carrying his long-haired, blind, deaf and crippled dachshund just minutes after I had written my complaint. Unbeknownst to me the man had stormed the post office looking for my supervisor after viewing the security tape to find the culprit.

I grabbed my government issued black ink pen from my breast pocket and wrote a comment.” LOL!! ” Unbeknownst to me this man was nuttier than a Snickers bar and gayer than a rainbow colored feather boa on a stiletto-heeled drag queen.” See, now I know plenty of straights who enjoy a good rainbow boa every now and then. It has been almost a month since your last post. Don’t leave us hanging. There are addicts like you out there who need our fix and can relate. We are a mess, our lives are Lconsumed and your postings make us smile and feel a sense of normality. Don’t listen to the Dr. Addiction, screw the job, K will understand, just write more often.
God Beach…or should that be Bette Beach…you have one strange and twisted mind!! I love every corner of it!!!
LOL @ “That bitch is fuckin hot when she is sleeping around” – ain’t that the truth!!
Beach, it looks like you sure are going to have some serious issues – better pull that pillow down a little tighter yourself, before K does…that might make it a little less painful…
A wonderful start to the day. I love me some Beach humor.
