    Chapter 14 – If it tastes divine then it just has to be devoured…

     

    “Who?”

     

    “The red bikini…” Bette said with a slight edge to her voice.

     

    “The red bik…?” Tina began, feeling slightly puzzled but then suddenly realising that Bette must have seen her at the bar.  “She just came up to me when I was having a drink…”

     

    “Right…” Bette said calmly…, not wanting to make an issue, but wanting to make sure Tina knew she had seen her all the same.  She knew she had no right over who Tina spoke to or spent time with, but she couldn’t help but feel a slight edginess over the fact that Tina had walked away from their conversation and into another with an aesthetically, at least, beautiful woman.  She also knew that she was at fault when it came to the reason that Tina had walked away.  She couldn’t formulate words to express how she felt.  It was, as Kit always reminded her, ‘a Bette Porter thing’.

     

    “Bette…, I was having a drink…” Tina said, wanting to explain, but also feeling she shouldn’t have to either.

     

    “Yeah you said…” Bette said as she sat up to face Tina, wanting to put the red bikini out of her mind and concentrate on their last hours together.   “I uh…, I’m sorry for the way I uh…”

     

    Tina looked directly at Bette, “look, it’s okay…”

     

    “No, it’s not okay… I’m sorry, I kinda got my words stuck and wasn’t able to actually say the stuff that’s going around in my head right now…” Bette said, surprising herself at the confession.

     

    “She was butt ugly…” Tina suddenly said.

     

    Bette looked puzzled, “pardon me?”

     

    Tina smirked, “the red bikini…, nice figure, but you know, face like dog chewing a wasp…”

     

    Bette laughed, thankful for the sudden turn of mood. She smiled widely as she shook her head, picturing the red bikini as a ‘butt ugly dog chewing a wasp…’

     

    “What?”

     

    Bette suddenly looked serious, “we’ll work this out…, somehow…”

     

    “We will?”

     

    “Do you want to?” Bette asked quietly.

     

    Tina looked deeply into Bette’s eyes, losing herself momentarily as the depth drew her in, “you know what I want…”

     

    “What?” Bette croaked as she felt a stirring inside.

    15. Hot damn – I’ve missed this story!!!Please give us our Happy Ending! It’s fanfic – we should keep out the drama – and be able to write it right! Most authors never mention “peeing” or “periods” or “shaving legs”…or whatever…so give us our “Bibbidy/Bobbidy/Boo !!!! Our “perfect” fairy tail !
