I am afraid my dear that I was of the impression you were a gentleman and didnt make arrangement for a proper chaperone. Jason here volunteered but I needed to wait for his arrival. I hope you havent been too inconvenienced with the wait. Reverend Pillary says with all sincerity.

Ah no Alice says as she is trying to fathom why all the fuss. No I have just taken the time to enjoy your lovely seating area here. Alice comes back with trying to be gracious and hoping her sudden nerves where not showing. God why am I nervous he is just an ordinary guy. Granted one that I would have loved to be my grandfather but still just an ordinary guy. Alice says to herself.

Well thank you my dear. Rev. Pillary says and then clears his throat as if getting down to business. Well what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?

Yeah, ..right Alice starts by looking down at all her notes. I am currently working on an article concerning the Motif Yen Valor Foundation. With its first series of grant applications having been recently released I was hoping to have a story in time for when those grants are awarded. What can you tell me about your participation in the foundation, as how did you first come to be part of this group, what have you found there, what interests do you want it to promote and can you help me with that name? Where did it come from? Alice says all of this in rapid fashion now in her reporter mode.

Well that is quite a lot you want to know. Lets see if I can help you with any of it. Ill first start with the name. I cant honestly tell you where it came from but the combination of words to me represents the courage and desire it takes to overcome the reoccurring theme of poverty. the Reverend says.

Wow that is almost exactly what Jackie Heartwell said. Alice interjects interrupting Reverend Pillary.

Really now, wow thats not the first time I have been accused of quoting someone else but usually they invoke the Good Lords name. The Reverend now is chuckling at Alice.

    1. You go ALICE!! No mush today, but I totally loved how Alice defended Bette, herself, as well as all the gays&bis out there. I so agree with the whole marriage thing…why not let two people who love each other join together in marriage?…I’m with chinesegirl though, why would Bette have someone who is against gays be on her board?…all in good time I guess…kick arse job Jwet, loved this chapter!!

      P.S. Mush!!

    2. This is great Jwet. Your writing style is just superb. Did u say Tina’s side tomorrow?!?!? Oh hmmph… i guess i’d have a lot to catch up with once i’m back. Thanks!

    3. No arrows….a little confused, but have not doubt you will clear it up. I guess I’m confused that Bette will have someone so against Gays to be on her board. I’m sure I’ll get over it! Ha, ha.

It’s good staying up late – or you getting up early.

      Have a good day!

    4. Alice – don’t ask the questions you don’t want to hear the answers to. (Side note – I was thinking of the name too…but my thoughts were a few letters short.)

    5. Down Low and Jwet thanks so much for the words of comfort and inspiration, they mean a lot. I know, I’m going to take my time because to give up now, is to through away the best and only meaningful part of my life…baby steps…baby steps. Jwet – I love that you’re developing all angles of the story and it’s not just Tina and Bette. I’ve read others but, after a while they always railroad into the T&B relationship and the others just make ‘token’ appearances. Thanks for taking the time to make it real. Looking forward to another chapter(s)

    6. This was really good. No injuries to your person from me. I don’t like how Al is snooping but I LOVE what she said to the Reverend. More soon.

    7. In working with non-profits and for-profits it takes collaborations with all kinds of people for success of the greater good of humanity. Nice twist here…a dose of reality keeps us vigiliant.
