I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at that
“It’s just been an adjustment for you..I completely understand…You went from seeing and being around Anthony everyday to not seeing him at all….And since I don’t have a girlfriend or anyone else like that to spend my time with I honestly don’t mind the extra attention “ I say seriously and chuckle a little on how pathetic that sounds
“And that’s why you are my best friend” she says sincerely then I hear her mischievous giggle “Although from what I have seen today and tonight I think things will change in that department for you”
I quickly turn my head and look at her incredulously before putting my eyes back on the road
“What the hell are you talking about?”
“Seriously Tina…You don’t know?”
I just shake my head because there is nothing changing for me. Alyssa is with Holly and I just flat out friendzoned myself with her…But maybe I can grow closer to her with Bette guiding me on how to win her over …If nothing comes from that at least I can help the two repair their friendship along the way….The look in Alyssa’s eyes was heartbreaking when she was talking about Bette and I would do anything to make her happy.
“First…You were eating lunch with Bette which you still won’t tell me about…Then I saw you break out of a hug with Alyssa which I don’t know what that was about either and then there was Bette who all of sudden showed up to a party for the first time since she came back and got you a pass from a Holly Simpson face reconstruction” she stops and I wait for more but she doesn’t
“And?” I motion my hand for her to continue
“And….And what?….That’s it because you won’t tell me what is going on” she says sadly and sighs
Well damn…She sounds hurt…I guess I should tell her. It’s not like I wasn’t eventually…I’m just kind of overwhelmed with all of this since it’s so new and I’m just trying to process it
“Ok…You’re right…I will tell you…Starting with me sitting with Bette at lunch….”
I hear her shift her body in the seat knowing I just made her happy that she was about to hear what she has been begging to know all day so I begin..

This story already has lots of mysteries. Alyssa? Bette?Tina, all have stuff that they dont know/want to share.
I love this story, so many secrets and Tina so confused about the connection and attraction she feels toward Bette.
I can image that Bette isn’t ready to tell what happened to her, my god almost her whole body has been burnt, and we still don’t know what she had to endure more before her stepfather tried to kill her.
Tina and her crush, it is a crush but she didn’t felt sparks with Alyssa but did with Bette. Why is Bette doing her best to help Tina get Alyssa? Is it because she feels guilty toward Alyssa for giving her the cold shoulder?
Can’t wait to read the next chapter, hint, i am free this weekend
I think Bette’ hesitancy stems from the horrific fiery accident that lest the stench of her own burning flesh, the fire raging b4 her eyes AND the scars left basically everywhere but on her face, neck and perhaps hands.
We’ve already been told that her skin is painful & sensitive to the touch.
What beautiful young woman wants to share herself in a physical way after that??? What’s more, I wonder if ‘ol Daddy hadnt tried to sexually assult her and she had to fight off the shame& guilt he undoubtedly would threaten to heap on her.
