God Knows Chptr. 1
“Did I hear right, you’re writing again?”
“I don’t understand the question?” Tina’s mother knew that she was a writer, they’d had many, many arguments over Tina wasting her talents on books.
“I assumed you’d come to realize that you have so many other profitable talents other than writing. I figured it was out of your system by now.”
Tina laughed sardonically in complete disbelief that her mother still treated her career as though it were some feigned hobby she should give up to pursue a real passion in life. Behind Tina’s mother a woman breezed into the patio with a light coral colored cape on that caught the wind perfectly, she reminded Tina of her mother when she was younger and carried out her business with a lot more vigor. Tina closed her eyes and shook her head, “5 and ½ months. I haven’t seen you in 5 and ½ months and you choose now to…” Tina stopped herself. She could feel the timbre rumble in the bottom of her throat and her voice start to rise as did her blood pressure, her mother was infuriating but she was also a purpose driven one. This immediate need to see Tina had to be fueled by something, otherwise she wouldn’t have insisted so vehemently on this lunch. Tina squeezed her eyes shut and massaged her right brow as she repeatedly said “What do you want?” to her mother until she opened her eyes to her mother’s stone apathetic face again.
“What?! What do you want?!” Tina was already so over seeing her mother for the day, at this point it was trying her patience just sitting in front of her.
“What you’re writing…”
“Has nothing to do with you.” Tina interrupted her mother, exasperated by this same “warning” she’d received from the first time she’d heard about Tina striving to become a writer. “There is an entire world outside of the Teresa Kennard universe. Not everything has to do with you!” Tina raised her voice, only this time she didn’t care if people stared at her, this was Hollywood and she was used to being the center of a “dramatic” blow up with her mother.
Bette on the other hand knew how to diffuse the situation and she did just that. She immediately brought Tina a neat double bourbon, and her mother another personal bottle of champagne to go with her mimosa. Before Bette could sit down with the two women to ease both women down, Tina had downed her drink and was already heading for the inside of the restaurant to leave.

Welcome back Nettababy03!
I have read your previous stories more than once and really Loved them.
So when i logged in and saw you had posted i was really happy.
It seems that in this story Tina is really messed up due to the violence and abuse that happened in her parents relationship and affected her childhood and adult life. And that she is now in a place where she learns to handle her past and her addictions like alcohol?
I am ready to follow your and Tina’s story. And ofcourse Bette and Angie.
Thanks
Welcome back
Very nice and promising story. I like the portray of Tina fighting her demons from her past with her parents, I like the way Bette takes care of her, the way both complement each other, at least until this point; I feel sorry for the pain Tina is going through and the writer’s block she is suffering, I’m eager to read what happened during her childhood and how she will overcome that and also, how Bette became her wife as indicated in the first part of the chapter. Thank for this story and pps.
So happy you are back with a new story. I am already hooked.

Amazing and very interesting start. Bad child hoods and very bad parents are sometimes hard to grow. out of. but she does have Bette watching out for her and loving her even if she doesn’t know Tina’s whole story and neither do we….Yet!..look forward to more Thank you BnT.
Welcome back .
A family with emotional problems, and it seems to me that it affected a lot Tina, where she seeks relief in the drink. And Bette is the only good part of Tina’s life. .
Great start.
All Stars .
Would love to see another chapter!!
