    Hey, you ate yet?

Just coffee. I answered, kissing her on the cheek.

    And Annie?

    Cereal.

Annie? Sweetie I bought breakfast. She yelled.

    I ate already mom.

    Its your favourite.

She came to the kitchen and opened the bag. Smiley pancakes, and you got green eggs and ham too. Thanks mom. She took the bag and was heading toward her room.

    Wait, wherere you going?

    To my room.

    You not eating with us?

    Ok.

I have been going to therapy for two weeks now. When Melissa died, I guess a part of me died with her. My way of dealing with it was distancing myself away from everyone. If I were to lose another person I love I dont think I will survive. My parents and family didnt quite understand what I was going through. I know my moms dad died so she knows how it feels to lose someone close to her. But I know me and I know my strengths and surviving the loss of a loved one isnt one of them. So if I pull my self away, if I dont allow myself to be close to anyone I wont have to go through this again. Unfortunately my parents dont understand that. So they asked me to see a shrink and I agreed. Perhaps he can help me deal with it. And I must admit, its getting easier. I still miss her, and I still think about her. The difference is though, I dont feel like crying every time I do. I am back on the soccer team and I have a tutor so I can catch up with the classes Ive missed, well not missed physically, just that my mind was somewhere else.

A month from today is my parents, anniversary. I want to surprise them as my way of saying thank you. I have a plan, I just need to enlist the help of some of my aunts.

    RING RING Hello?

    Aunt Kit?

    Hi baby girl.

Can I see you? I need your help with something.

    Sure, is everything ok?

Everything is great. I just need to talk to you about something.

    1. I’m glad they got help for Angelica and that she’s getting better. That was sweet what Angelica arranged. T&B are lucky to have such sweet children.
