The cab was already waiting when they finally made it outside. Shane was still fast asleep in Marks arms as they began their short trip home… all feeling a bit better and ready for what awaited them later……

Kit, Dana, Jenny and Tina were all sitting in the living room which was silent, with the exception of Dana’s failed attempts to lighten the mood.. in their defense they were probably the most shocked by Shane’s revelation.. not one of them would have thought Shane had issues to such a great extent.. yes they knew it was possible that drugs were a factor in Shane’s frequent mood swings but the truth that had been so abruptly thrown at them was that, their Shane lived a life none of them had thankfully had to lead, that Shane even after everything she had dealt with in her life, still managed to at least act as if it didn’t faze her.. that she was inevitably a stronger person then all of them put together….

And now they patiently awaited the others arrival back home.. only 10 minutes earlier did Bette call to inform them of where Shane had so abruptly ran off to.. but any thoughts of today’s events were halted as Alice came running into the house, holding her hand over her right eye, Bette soon fallowed closely behind her and went straight to the kitchen, grabbing an ice pack and some aspirin out of the medicine cabinet..

"mother fucker" Alice yelped in pain as Bette lightly placed the ice pack on her eye.

"oh don’t be such a baby…" Bette smirked, the situation was actually quite funny.. plus the fact that Alice brought it on herself….. was priceless…

"Jesus Alice what the hell happened" Dana asked as she took in the sight of her girlfriends eye… the spot was already turning bright purple..

"Shaney over there, didn’t exactly like being woken up" Alice spat out while pointing at Shane who slowly limped thru the front door looking exhausted but remorseful as she continuously rubbed her bruised knuckles.. she was close to falling over but thankfully Carmen was right behind her holding her up.. they slowly made their way to the kitchen.. where Carmen began the task of bandaging her knuckles..
