    an accident lightens the mood… and can shane take that final leep.. enjoy

    "omg Shane.. you gave me a black eye…." Alice exclaimed as she looked into the mirror Mark had brought in from the bathroom..

    "AL i said i was sorry geez!!" She spoke up in her defense "its not like i meant to hit you… but girl what the hell did you expect, waken me up like that.. OUCH Carmen!!" she yelped as Carmen wrapped the cloth a little to tightly around her knuckles

    "sorry… but hold still Shane and take this it’ll make the pain go away" she apologized handing Shane an aspirin

    "no she can’t" mark said taking the pills, Shane gave them up willingly

    "why not……. it’ll help keep the swelling down" jenny asked, the rest of the group who were in their own conversations and had been enjoying the small distraction from today’s events turned intently towards Shane and mark, who at that moment looked like they were 5 years old and just told a big secret.

    "bec.." Shane cut off his answer, she knew he was trying to help and keep his word by lying but she had to face this sooner or later.

    "because I’m… um.. I’m starting detox tomorrow" everyone stared at her quizzingly, not quiet understanding

    "what do you mean when you say ‘detox’ Shane" kit asked causing everyone to jump a little at the sound off her voice, they had all forgotten she was still there in all the fuss and confusion.

    "I.."Shane remained quiet for a moment before she felt marks hand on her shoulder reassuring her that it was okay, she looked up at him and suddenly found her courage to continue "it means that tomorrow mark is going to be dropping me off at a drug rehabilitation center, i have a problem" she chuckled lightly "well i have a ton of problems but most of all a drug problem… i um use them to numb and hide myself from my issues and it has to stop….. after the whole bouncer incident and almost oding on ‘x’, mark began helping me in different ways, he got in contact with the center after i told him i needed help and tomorrow i start a 7 day detox program at the clinic, where ill be staying while the toxins from the drugs are slowly pushed completely out of my system before i can come back home but even after I’m back ill need to attend weekly meetings, sort of like the AA meetings Kit goes to and ya that’s what i meant" she breathed out a heavy sigh of relief… it honestly was easier to say then she expected…

    1. just sleeping together is such a fantastic thing to do. that was a really sweet chapter. just the right amount and not too much sap. i love that shane is still an action speaks louder than words person.. with the peck on the lips and all. love it when you update:D

    2. I’m loving this story. I promise to post a more constructive comment soon, but for now an editor would help the grammar flow better. Other than that, you write Shane beautifully. I can actually see this happening and it has a very good touch of realism to it. PPS.
