    Hidden Secrets pt 4

Everyone was surprised to hear that Mark had already ultimately done what they had started off that day to do.. yet Jenny’s face balled into even more confusion… that Shane would rather go to mark for help..

"so Shane… when where you planning on letting us know you are going to rehab.. i mean you were gonna tell us before right" she asked not bothering to hide the fact that she was pissed

"n…um ah.." Shane stood up and ruffled her hair slowly limping away but stopped and turned to face everyone, willing herself to stop being such a pussy "no i wasn’t.. at least not until after i was positive it worked.." she saw the shocked and disappointed looks "look its not like that… OK, my whole life i was tossed out, spat out, kicked around and left by every one i ever cared about.. except for you guys, you are my family and yes i should have been able to talk to you about this, about all this but i couldn’t because …" her voice trailed off into a whisper as she looked down at her black converses "because if you really knew who i am.. i honestly believe you’d leave too.." their it was, she had finally voiced her deepest fear and it felt strange, like actually saying it took the power right out of it

Jenny slowly took a step forward, pulling Shane into a tight embrace and whispering "trust me Shane, we’re not going anywhere OK" she pulled back as shane nodded her head ‘yes’ letting them know she understood

"OK now that’s settled mind telling us what happened to Al’s face exactly" Tina asked more to change the subject but also because if it had to do with Alice, it was sure to be funny..

"OH God must i relive the pain" Alice yelled sarcastically causing the tension filled room to erupt into laughter

Once everyone finally calmed down, Shane and Alice each gave their side of the story but both leaving out key details… leaving Mark and Carmen to tell everyone the truth.. Mark gave Carmen the floor

"OK here’s what really happened.. so we are driven home right.. well Shane was asleep in between me and Mark, with Alice sitting up front in between the cab driver and Bette, well Shane started to move a little in her sleep and sort of kicked the back of Al’s chair and Alice turned around and told me to stop kicken her chair.. i told her i didn’t and she huffed and turned back around… so here i am trying to keep Shane from falling forward in her sleep when my phone rings, i answer it, and we hit a pot hole, well Shane kicked the chair again, pissen Alice off even more and so she turned and when i told her it was Shane, she yelled ‘YODA WAKE UP’ at the top of her lungs.. she scared the piss out of the cabby and apparently Shane too cuz she woke up and slugged Alice right in the face…"everyone started laughing at Alice’s expense "so ya did i miss anything" She looked to Mark and Bette who both nodded in approval, then to Alice who was swearing under her breathe, then to Shane who was beginning to fall back asleep.

    1. just sleeping together is such a fantastic thing to do. that was a really sweet chapter. just the right amount and not too much sap. i love that shane is still an action speaks louder than words person.. with the peck on the lips and all. love it when you update:D

    2. I’m loving this story. I promise to post a more constructive comment soon, but for now an editor would help the grammar flow better. Other than that, you write Shane beautifully. I can actually see this happening and it has a very good touch of realism to it. PPS.
