”I’m not trying to… I just, I want–”
”I don’t care, Bette…I don’t give a shit what you want…”
Bette dropped her head in shame as Tina continued to move around the room, throwing different items in the duffle bag.
Bette’s head snapped up when Tina angrily stomped out of the room. She stood up and rushed behind her wife. ”Wait, Tina, it’s late…where are you going….”
Tina grabbed her car keys from the dining room table and then walked over and opened the front door.
Bette desperately grabbed Tina’s arm. ”Wait, Tina; please don’t go…please….”
Tina turned around and snatched her arm out of Bette’s grip. ”Don’t go? You expect me to stay here after finding out you fucked another woman, Bette? What the hell do you want from me right now?!”
Bette gulped. ”I don’t know… I just know that I love you, Tina and that I’m so…so fucking sorry for what I did…I can’t lose you….” she whispered, her voice cracked with fear and sorrow.
Angry tears poured from Tina’s eyes down to her reddened cheeks as she stepped over to Bette.
”You already have….” She said with calm finality.
Tina took a deliberate step away from Bette. ”I’m leaving….do not follow me. Understood?”
Bette hesitated before she gently nodded.
Tina turned and hurried out of the house, slamming the door behind her……

Two weeks later…
Tina was sitting in a South Carolina hotel room, staring at her phone. She took a deep breath before finally pressing the send button. She brought the phone to her ear and listened to the phone ring.
After the third ring, she closed her eyes when she heard…
”Hello,” Bette said frantically, emotionally.
Tina gulped and opened her eyes. ”You flew to my parent’s house in South Carolina looking for me?”
”Yes…I didn’t know what else to do…nobody has heard from you…. seen you…. where are you?”
”I’m where I need to be right now, Bette…. which is away from you….”
A few beats passed before Bette responded. ”Understood….do you need anything?”
”No…”
Bette sighed. ”I… I found the pregnancy test in the trash, Tina…. you’re pregnant?” Bette softly asked.
Tina gulped and took a beat before responding. ”Yes…”
”Fuck…. T, when are you coming back home…. where are you?”
