”I told you it’s none of your business…I have to go, Bette….”
”No, wait, you can’t just tell me you’re pregnant and just hang up, Tina…what the fuck….”
”Yeah, Bette, what the fuck is right… you have derailed our entire fucking lives because you couldn’t resist getting pussy on the side….so fuck you….”
”Are you in Los Angeles, at least?”
Tina allowed a few beats to pass before she responded. ”No….”
”When are you coming back?” Bette asked again, panic evident in her voice.
”I don’t know…” Tina quietly responded.
”Tina—”
”I have to go, Bette….”
”Wait—”
Tina took the phone from her ear and ended the call. She then put her hand over her mouth and sobbed before she looked down and rubbed her stomach…

Present Time…
The plane’s wheels skipping on the ground brings Tina out of her daydream.
”We’re here now, mommy?” Angelica excitedly asks as she looks out of the window.
Tina gently sighs and smiles. ”Yeah, baby… We’re home now……”

Later, a town car slowly pulls into the driveway of their new home. This is the first time Tina has seen the house in person; her shiny new job assigned her an assistant whose main priority was to find the new boss somewhere to live.
Tina and the assistant have talked and Facetimed on several occasions, which enabled her to take a virtual tour of the home before giving her seal of approval. The virtual tour didn’t do the grand house justice, though.
The driver, wearing the typical all-black uniform, steps out of the car and opens the back door for his passengers.
Tina smiles at the courteous older gentleman and thanks him as she and Angelica climb out of the car.
Angelica lets go of her mother’s hand and excitedly runs towards the house.
”Slow down, honey!” Tina warns as she reaches into her purse to find a tip for the driver.
Angelic keeps running as she acknowledges her mother’s warning. ”Sorry, Mommy.”
The front door opens, and Tina sees Emma, her assistant, step outside. The twenty-something young woman smooths down her knee-length skirt and smiles and waves at her new boss. ”Hi, welcome home….”
Tina returns the smile as she extends her hand out to Emma. ”Hi, nice to finally meet you in person.”
