”Tasha, are you a cop?” Bette questioned all of sudden, her words coming out slurred.
Tasha didn’t flinch in the slightest as she pulled a T-shirt over Bette’s head carefully. ”Why would you think that?”
Bette took a long pause where she seemed to be reflecting on what her answer was going to be. ”I know… You were talking…to someone…”
”Talking about what?” the woman asked, putting boots onto Bette’s feet. When finished, she straightened up and watched as the brunette struggled to keep her eyes open. ”Come on, I’ll help you out,” Tasha said before lifting Bette up off the bed.
”I just wanna say goodbye to my girlfriend… Please…” the brunette kept talking incoherently while the other woman half-carried her. ”And then you can arrest me…”
”Shh, it’s okay,” Tasha reassured, leading Bette outside, where the gang was waiting.
Marcus immediately jumped to the assistance. They sat the brunette down on a bench.
”She’s delirious or something, I dunno,” Tasha said.
”Must be from the drugs.”
”She’ll be going in the hidden compartment,” Doyle claimed as soon as he took a good view of Bette.
Marcus’s gaze shot up to his statement. ”Are you serious?!”
”The less suspicious we appear the better. She’s not even in any condition to show her ID. That would raise suspicion, understand? And we don’t want that. So, hidden compartment.”
”We’ll figure something out. She can’t go in any hidden compartment, do you realize how injured she is? She will suffocate in there,” Marcus argued.
Doyle fixed him with a glower. ”If you want to come back home, then you do as I say. Otherwise, good riddance. I won’t risk my export license and my freedom for a bunch of felons.”
Marcus stared at the man. He knew he was playing a losing game, so he surrendered to him. Having lifted the brunette up, Marcus carried her toward the van’s trunk where Doyle was already opening the hidden compartment that was under the seats.
”Girl, I’m so sorry…” Marcus uttered quietly to Bette as Doyle helped him lay her in the compartment. ”This will end soon, I promise.”
Closing the compartment, Doyle produced a rather mean-spirited chuckle. ”She’s not claustrophobic, is she?” he remarked and turned to catch Marcus’s reaction, but all he caught was a direct punch to the face. The blow threw him off balance and made him hit the ground.

OH, MY GOD, you are killing me; please don’t let them fall apart, do not separate them, they belong together. Now, Tina knows Helena is a snitch and Bette will be caught soon. Bette has been a criminal, but she was also a victim, she was set up to be there; there should be a way for her to come clean or to escape to that nightmare, and Tina, she loves Bette; don’t let their love die. Thanks for the excellent story and hoping something good will come. I’ll be waiting eagerly for your update.

Oh oh, that was a very disturbing end to the chapter.
Like proteonomics already mentioned, they belong together. Please don’t let them break up, my poor ???? will break.
Have i mentioned before that i didn’t like Helena at all from chapter one, she is a fucking dirty bitch. Is she really a dirty cop and want to warn Tina or are there other motives.
Poor Bette, allthough she is a crimal due to circumstances, she is a good woman and deserves a way out, to come clean and live a happy life with Tina. Tina knew about Bette and choose to stay with her and i understand she questions and is insecure about the future but please don’t let her break up with Bette.

I’ve read this story in one day and I am totally hooked. I’ve noticed you don’t post too frequently but I’m begging you to post soon. I gotta know what’s going to happen. At this point I think it would be best for Bette to serve her time and be free from the criminal life although I don’t know if the boss would let her live. Marcus and Shane need to get out too. Please post soon!!
