    ”Why? What happened so that you suddenly want to leave me?” No answer. ”Did I do something wrong? Is it something I said?” Tina refused to utter a word. ”Did anyone tell you something and you’re afraid to talk to me about it?” Still no answer. Losing it, Bette slammed her hand down on the

    Tina refused to utter a word.

    ”Did anyone tell you something and you’re afraid to talk to me about it?”

    Still no answer.

    Losing it, Bette slammed her hand down on the table, making the cups rattle and coffee spill over the edges. She glared at Tina, whose startled eyes were now wide open.

    ”Am I supposed to pull answers out of you?” Bette growled. ”Because I will get them, one way or another. You are not leaving until you give me a fucking explanation.”

    Overwhelmed by the pressure, Tina began to cry again.

    ”Goddammit!” Bette snapped angrily and sprang to her feet. She put her hands on her hips and glowered at the weeping woman, breathing heavily. She was so frustrated by Tina’s utter lack of response, she wanted to do violence to someone. She couldn’t remember when was the last time it was so hard to talk to her girlfriend. Bette felt completely powerless.

    ”You want to break up? Then get out,” Bette declared, changing the tactic. ”Go. You want to, right? Well, I’m not holding you.”

    ”God, Bette…please…” Tina sobbed.

    ”PLEASE WHAT, TINA!!!” Bette yelled at the top of her voice, raising her hands as if pleading. ”I don’t understand you, I don’t fucking understand you at all! You’re sitting here and just driving me fucking crazy with your silence and your damn tears! Is it so hard to explain?! Explain why you stopped being yourself, why you stopped kissing me and hugging me, why you don’t spend nights here?! You don’t even talk to me anymore, you’re shutting me down!” she continued to shout. ”Do you think this is normal? Huh?! Do you think I fucking deserve this?!”

    Bette was panting with rage by then and had to stop to draw breath, which was becoming more difficult as the pain in her lungs returned again, along with the throbbing in her head. She bent down with hands on her knees and wheezed. After a moment she straightened up and chuckled ruefully. ”Who am I kidding? Of course I deserve this. I deserve all the shit that is happening to me. When you leave me, I’ll deserve it too. So please, go ahead. I won’t be bothering you anymore,” with that she left Tina alone and began shuffling towards the bedroom.

      Thank you for this a great, but also very sad chapter, after being in great peril and being betrayed at work, after going through so much physical and emotional pain, Bette has to face the estrangement of her beloved Tina and the attack on her dear friend Marcus.
      It is also sad that Tina has to leave Bette because of her fear, justified fear, even with all the love she feels for her girlfriend, and it’s very unfair that corrupted and treacherous people like Helena and the rest of the mob are enjoying their lives. Thanks so much again for the update and please post soon

    2. Hi Valerie,

      This chapter made me cry for Bette esspecially and Tina. I understand Tina’s fear and it is a very complicated but to let a Snake like Helena in to her head is just horrible.

      Bette is going to let her dark side rule due to Tina’s leaving and Marcus being shot.

      I still have faith in the titel and gonna believe everything will be good at the end.

      Despite the sad chapter, it was a fantastic update.
