    Her mind drifted back to the fateful encounter with her ex-lover yesterday. Fateful it was indeed, since of all the people she had ever known, one in particular was still holding a special place in her heart. Earlier today while sitting in her office she had counted the number of years that had passed. Having reached the final result of ten years, Tina had dived deep into the pool of memories.

    At one point of her life she had managed to force Bette out of her head, after having had suffered enough. All the tears, pain, anger, sorrow had disappeared, but a sense of hollowness, a feeling of being deprived of a part of herself still remained and became like a shadow that followed her through life.

    She finished the rest of her wine and eyed the bottle on the counter. With a shrug she poured a second glass. Having three drinks she had shared with Alice coupled with an already drained glass of wine in her system, Tina easily and gladly let herself indulge in the forbidden world that was Bette Porter.

    A maudlin smile crept across Tina’s face as she thought how good Bette had looked when they had bumped into each other yesterday, it was almost unbelievable. As if she hadn’t just spent ten years in prison, but at a spa retreat, Tina thought dreamily, sipping her wine. The last time they had met, which was when Tina had come for her last and only prison visit, Bette had appeared emaciated and almost lifeless, but now she looked healthy and athletic. Bette’s facial features had become more prominent with time, a little angular, but in an attractive kind of way. Her dark, brooding eyes still carried a certain amount of mystery and intensity that had always made Tina unravel, but gone were the youthful recklessness, the endless fires burning inside that those eyes had reflected back in the day. She had become a mature woman.

    Tina gave herself a mental high five for managing to remember such detailed characterization of her ex-lover, given the state of shock she had experienced at the mere sight of her.

    Holding the glass with her arm hanging down at her side, the blonde made her way back upstairs. She walked past the bedroom towards the small dressing room. She switched on the light and raised her gaze to the ceiling. There was a little opening, which led to the attic. Contemplating for a few seconds, Tina left her glass on the floor and reached up to pull down the folding attic ladder, which descended easily. Feeling a bit unsteady on her legs, Tina slowly crawled up the ladder and into the dark attic. With her fingertips she found the light switcher and, standing in the dimly lit surroundings, she peered at all the stored up boxes that the attic was littered with. Now she just needed to find that one box.

      Just had a break when i saw that you posted a new update.

      It is fantastic that Bette is finding her way back in life and has such a wonderfull friend in Ayola.

      So they finally met again, wonder what Tina has to tell Bette. You are such a naughty girl to not disclose it in this chapter.

      Why do i have a feeling that Tina moved on with Helena?! That would be the ultimal betrayal that she could inflict on Bette.

      I think it’s going to be hard, but they have to find their way back to each other, that type of love can’t be downgraded to friendship, it’s a whole thing or its nothing, I don’t think they have more choices.❤

      this is my fav fanfiction so far..
      it breaks my heart seeing how hard for Bette to get her life back..so much that she has lost..
      couldn’t imagine if ayola wasn’t there to help her.
      but i hope they stay their relationship as friend..cos i’m still hoping somehow, somewhere Bette and Tina could find their way back together..and this time Tina could proof her love to Bette by staying by her side as her promised.
      it’s suprised me that Tina has moved on with her life and has lived together with someone else…
      i really thought after Tina read Bette’s handwriting in her apartment, Tina would tried with all her power to proof her love to Bette by keeping her promise to stay by waiting for Bette…

      now that Tina and Bette has met again, please..please…please…. don’t let us waiting too long..
      couldn’t wait to read for the next Chapter..
