On one of those evenings when Bette had to go to the store and stock up on food, Ayola decided to join her. They were riding in Ayola’s car when a thought popped into Bette’s head.
”Hey, can we drive through Fairfax Avenue today? It’s one of the ways to the store as well.”
”Sure,” Ayola said, glancing at the brunette. ”Why?”
”I just want to look at something.”
Ayola glanced at her again, becoming curious now about what her friend had in mind, but let it go till later.
Several minutes later as they were riding along Fairfax Avenue, Ayola noticed that Bette was looking out the window with a rather focused face expression.
”Can you slow down please?!” Bette requested suddenly, the tone of her voice kind of forceful. She stared at the building with eager interest. ”Wow, The Planet is still going strong,” she muttered to herself, observing in amazement the new stylish signboard, the new exterior and a throng of people hanging out outside.
”The Planet? Oh, I love this place,” Ayola interjected nonchalantly.
”Do you know the owner?”
”Marina something, I don’t remember the last name.”
Bette smiled wistfully. ”Marina’s still at it.”
”You know her?”
”She was a good friend of mine back in the day.”
”She’s a hot number.”
Bette turned to look at her friend with her eyebrow raised.
”What? She is,” Ayola grinned smugly.
”Uh-huh,” the brunette shook her head, smiling. She turned to stare out the window again. When their car approached the other building Bette had been intrigued to see, the brunette once again asked Ayola to slow down.
There it was, something completely different from what The Gyre had been, a fully remodeled building that was now named SheBar. The place was overflowing with party-goers. On top of that, the line of people, which were standing to enter the nightclub, seemed almost endless. The loud, reverberating bass of dance music was spilling out into the street.
”Were you friends with the SheBar owner too?” Ayola asked, chuckling.
”No,” Bette said. ”Have you been there?”
”Yeah, a few times. I’m not very fond of nightclubs, so I didn’t like it there. The place is always overcrowded. It’s very popular in WeHo.”
”I can see that,” Bette uttered.

Just had a break when i saw that you posted a new update.
It is fantastic that Bette is finding her way back in life and has such a wonderfull friend in Ayola.
So they finally met again, wonder what Tina has to tell Bette. You are such a naughty girl to not disclose it in this chapter.
Why do i have a feeling that Tina moved on with Helena?! That would be the ultimal betrayal that she could inflict on Bette.
Can i pursue you to answer that question via a pm to me?! I would go crazy till you update again, so please, please tell me🙏

I think it’s going to be hard, but they have to find their way back to each other, that type of love can’t be downgraded to friendship, it’s a whole thing or its nothing, I don’t think they have more choices.❤

this is my fav fanfiction so far..
it breaks my heart seeing how hard for Bette to get her life back..so much that she has lost..
couldn’t imagine if ayola wasn’t there to help her.
but i hope they stay their relationship as friend..cos i’m still hoping somehow, somewhere Bette and Tina could find their way back together..and this time Tina could proof her love to Bette by staying by her side as her promised.
it’s suprised me that Tina has moved on with her life and has lived together with someone else…
i really thought after Tina read Bette’s handwriting in her apartment, Tina would tried with all her power to proof her love to Bette by keeping her promise to stay by waiting for Bette…
now that Tina and Bette has met again, please..please…please…. don’t let us waiting too long..
