I Will Not Let You Fall
”I was curious to know how you were doing. That’s why I wanted to see you again. I don’t see anything wrong with us keeping in touch,” Tina tried to explain.
”You were curious? That’s what it was, you were curious?”
Tina closed her eyes for a moment and took a breath before she spoke in a strained voice, ”Goddammit, Bette. I missed you. I wanted to see you. Why is it so hard to believe?”
”Ten years, Tina.”
”So what? Ten years what?”
”Ten years later all of sudden you’re telling me that you missed me and wanted to see me. If you really wanted, you would’ve tried to come and see me in prison.”
That’s when Tina lost it.
The warm gleam in her hazel eyes flared into a red, seething heat as she pointed at Bette, piercing the air with an accusing finger, speaking in a quiet, hissy snarl. ”How dare you say this to me… YOU told me to never come back. YOU told me we were over. YOU threw me out of prison. It was YOU who didn’t want to see me anymore.”
Bette remained calm and self-controlled as she stared cooly into Tina’s furious eyes. ”I did us both a favor. It saved you the waste of time and me the further heartbreak. It would’ve been just a matter of time before you gave up and stopped visiting me. You were weak-willed, unreliable. I knew that, but I still held hope that after I told you to never come back, you would fight,” Bette said, then shrugged. ”You didn’t fight. You never had.”
Tina shook her head tearfully, her insides boiling and churning from hurt, caused by Bette’s words. ”Maybe fight I didn’t, but you have no idea about the heartbreak I’ve experienced when you rejected me so coldly. You have no idea what I’ve gone through trying to get over you.”
Bette touched her chest with the flat oh her hand. ”Oh I believe you’ve gone through a lot,” she said in a low tone of mock-solemnity.
They looked at each other a long moment, letting their eyes say things they couldn’t yet find words for, eyes full of resentment, grief and loss.
Bette hung her head a little. ”I think we need to stay away from each other, Tina. I don’t think we have anything in common at this point. I’m different, you’re different. You have your own life. I’m trying to build mine from the scratch. I don’t think we’re good for each other right now.”

Valerie, Thank you for the update! This is one of my favorites. So happy to see that Tina is going to fight for Bette! Can’t wait for next update.
Thank you so much for the great update,I’ve been waiting patiently for you to post. I cant wait for the next part, please post soon.
Hi, happy to see another great (and long) chapter from you!
I must say about a few things about this part.
First – what i don’t like – i don’t like Nicole. I don’t trust her and i think she don’t fired Bette only because she wants her. I can see ultimatum for Bette from her in the future.
Ok, next what i like – i like two conversation – Tina wit therapist and Bette with Ayola – i think both Tina and Bette can see things more clear after this talks.
And of course the best part of chapter – Tina’s decision fight for Bette.
I must say i very like your mature Tina and i think Bette need to stop be scared and do leap of faith with her.
So, thank you for this part and waiting for next!
Hi Valerie:
This was a wonderful chapter, as you mentioned, maturity is taken its way on our couple, and they have the world on their hands, it’s their decision, all or nothing.
I’m glad they are finding their way to each other, there will be obstacles, like that stupid bully parol officer, the talkative Brenda and Bette boss, but Tina and Bette together, can overcome any barrier.
I start getting sad because this is the beginning of the end of this story, hope you keep updating the other, and maybe we could enjoy more stories from you.
Thank you for the update, I’ll eagerly wait for the next chapter.

oh my God…u’ve just made my day by update this story.. Thank you so much..
Hi Valerie,
Yes, Tina is going to fight for her Bette! About time, she has to show Bette that she has grown up and will not leave her when there are problems and there will be
That parole man is a utter asshole and what about Nicole, hmm. I hope she is trustworthy and isn’t going to use Bette’s past against her. For now i give her a chance.
Ayola has my respect, she is a very good friend. I love her.
Thank you for the update! It was worth the while!
Hi,
Great to have an update – love this story but would love Bette and Tina to start to make progress in getting back together.
Thanks for posting.

Geez so much emotions going on… stubborn and lack of communication…. good think they both had someone to turn too… but then there is still Brenda… thank you it was great..
thank you so much for this wonderful long chapter.
I don’t blame Tina for behaving the way she did, I mean Bette was living a dangerous life style that would have easily put Tina at risk. am glad both are finding their way back to each other. But what happens with Brenda?. post soon plea……..se
Forgot to mention about Tina’s girfriend – seems it was not ease to Tina break up with her. First – because her parents like her, and second – Brenda obviously in love with her.
But i hope mature Tina know what she wants – and it’ll be Bette
Loved he update. Thanks
It was wonderful having the update. Hopefully they can come to terms with their feelings for each other and most of all, Bette needs to get over her fear of being let down by Tina in the future. Tina has laid down the gauntlet and Bette needs to meet her halfway and accept that Tina is truly still in love with her and wants a future with her. And Bette needs to forget the past and let it go, and run as fast as she can towards their future. Loved the update. Thanks for posting.
So happy to see an update. My heart broke for Tina when Bette pushed her away. The parole officer is a sadist. I hope Bette can keep her path until she no longer has to answer to him. He has treachery in his heart. Nicole will make a play for Bette to keep her secret. I think Bette needs to remove herself from this job. Tina has grown so much . She is willing to fight for Bette and chose her over family. The little girl is grown up. Please post again soon. Thank you.
It’s been 25 days..and i am dying to have an update of this story…give us some highlight of the day. Soon…pretty please?? :)
