    Innocence – Chapter 3

“Lets talk about this with some drinks?” Helena suggests heading towards the bar.

Minutes later Alice steps through the door in search for everyone else.

She makes her way into the back to see Helena, Bette, and Tina sitting at the poolside.

“I’m assuming you all started without me?” Alice says stepping towards them.

    “We’ll fill you in.”

“I have something to say first.”

“Is it about your idea?” Helena asks.

“It’s a new idea. Tasha thought of this.”

    “What is it?” Tina asks.

“Papi?” Bette questions. “What does she have to do with this?”

“If we can get Papi to find Niki we may be able to get the backseat on whatever she has planned.”

“How is Papi going to get Niki to speak?” Bette asks.

“Papi is a master for that stuff. Women fall into some kind of trace with her. The woman has slept with over 1 thousand women.”

“That doesn’t mean Papi is going to figure out what Niki is up to. We don’t have weeks and weeks for Papi to find out what she is up to. We need a quick plan.” Bette says before taking a sip of her drink.

    “Then what do you suggest?”

    “Mother.” Helena says.

    “Yes.” Bette replies.

“How is that going to work? That is still tampering with police files.”

“How do we even know Papi is going to do this.”

“She’s Tasha’s best friend. She’ll help us out guys.”

“How do we even find Niki for this to happen?” Tina asks.

“She can’t be that far. The media are always all over her.” Alice says. “Remember when we set Dylan up to see if she was true to Helena? Let’s do that again. Shane knows her number, we’ll get someone to call her again. We’ll get her to go to the club and have Papi there.”

“She isn’t going to go to Shebar.” Helena cuts in.

“Then we’ll pick another place.” Alice says.

“Niki doesn’t know Papi?” Tina asks.

“No, Niki was never introduced to Papi.”

“I don’t know Alice. This just seems..sort of, I don’t know- too unrealistic?” Bette says.

“If we can get Niki to fall for Papi, she’ll open up to her. Papi can even play along.”

“About murder? I don’t see it happening.”

“Bette, this way we don’t have to worry about anyone getting into any shit.”

“It just seems like a some fictional idea. I honestly can’t see Papi getting Niki to uncover her secrets.”

    “What was Peggy’s suggestion?”

“Mother doesn’t know anything yet but with the connections mother has, she may be able to do this without anyone getting in trouble.”

“But all Peggy can do is get her hands on police files. This way we can get information that isn’t in those files.” Alice states.

    1. Hi Tory,

      Great chapter!

I am glad that they are asking and thinking about other options to help Tina.

Nicky and Kelly are bitches first class, but i don’t think that Papi would be succesfull to get Nicky talking. She only trust Kelly it seems.

Looking forward to see the next chapter!

    2. I think Papi and Peggy are excellent options. If I were advising the group, I would do both. What could it hurt? If Papi fails to get any useful information, well at least they tried. Peggy will come up with something. Peggy may also decide to have a private investigator have a look at Nikki and what she is up to lately. Her association with Kelly is sure to pop up on the radar. Kelly is in legal jeopardy for aiding a criminal after the fact avoid justice – this is obstruction of justice. Tasha can keep her ears open as to the talk going on at the police department and may get some information in that manner without actually accessing the files themselves. Of course, once there is a charge, the prosecution has to turn all their information over to Tina’s lawyer and they will know what they are up against. Innocence is hard to prove. It would be easier to prove someone else guilty. And now that Nikki has confessed to Kelly, Kelly will be the key. Poor Tina!

Great story….I have always wanted someone to see a story on the death of Jenny and how that played out. It makes perfect sense to me that Nikki did it. The hint was that she hid in the bushes until the police found her. Unless she did it, why was she in the bushes? Her reason for being at Jenny or Bette & Tina’s home was sort of lame – as she explained in the final episode. I found the final season for the most part a complete disaster – too many resolved issues when it was over. Bette and Tina are the only ones who have their future headed on a positive track, but still have an issue with Kelly. Alice still has unresolved issues with Tasha. Helena and Dylan still love each other but can’t seem to get a break in resolving their past. Shane is now faced with a dead lover who has been in reality abusing her emotionally. Jenny is dead with a “who done it” ending which is completely unknown. This story helps resolves some of that mess. And I do appreciate it.
