    Tina nodded “I haven’t been with a man either – mind you not that I got the offers. It would take a very confident young man to try it on with the daughter of two lesbians one of which is one of the top lawyers in the city and someone who was also prone to kicking up a stink if she thought her precious daughter was being discriminated against and more than once threatened to bring the entire legal power of her firm down on the school “
    Bette winched “Oh poor you – that must have been hell for you “
    “It was – my mom is very good at her job partly I suspect because she intimidates the fight out of
    anyone who dares to argue with her. That’s fine and I know that has made her successful and that it has brought her a great salary and remuneration package “
    “But it’s enough to make you want to hide under your duvet as her daughter “Bette filled in
    Tina laughed and nodded “I just wanted to be treated the same as anyone else but my mom has never thought that I was just the same as any other kid “
    “Sounds like there has been a lot of pressure on you to be a high achiever “
    “Understatement of the week – I had to be the top of the class “
    “And was young Kennard, T top of the class ?”

    “Yes – luckily for me. if I slipped behind on any subject my mom got a private tutor in for me. I once spend a whole summer getting tuition in history – god I hated that “
    “And you now hate history?”
    Tina nodded “Yes “
    Bette smiled “Sounds like I was really lucky – there was pressure but it was more self-imposed. I must have been an annoying little so and so. I just lived in my own little world – I went to the library after school and that was my idea of heaven on earth – all the books I could want “
    “You didn’t rebel?” Tina asked smiling
    “I always had really long hair – longer than I have it now – when I was 14, I went to a barber after school and had it all cut off – I looked like a skinhead – my mother burst into tears – my father was furious. With any other 14-year-old the punishment would have been to ground me but as that was what I enjoyed I think they were pretty stuffed as to how to deal with me “
    “How did you look ?”

    5. This chapter makes me smile…This is really not their first date…I would consider it their fourth date. Dinner at Paramount, and the two lunches and then this one. Even though the first three were for other purposes, they managed to have plenty of getting to know you conversation. And they had talked on the phone multiple times to set up their plans. Of course it’s all in how you define what a date is.

      These two seem well suited for each other. They are arriving in each other’s lives at exactly the right time – when they are ready to form a permanent and long term relationship.

      I find this story to be absolutely intriguing. I really like it a lot. Can’t wait for more.

    6. Oh, the date! Thanks a lot for posting so soon again.

      They really are good for each other and obviously very compatible in bed as well. I like how open they are with each other about their past, their weaknesses, their likes.
      Their mothers might notice that something happend in the lifes of their daughters. Would they notice that B + T probably are beaming with happiness?
      I’m looking forward to Tina’s first meeting with Bette’s mom. :-)

    9. I think they should add to the tease by them both telling parents they meet someone .. lol but tell them just that they really think it’s going to go somewhere.. . What would moms do then lol.. ok I like slow burns so in my opinion they went to quick I like te tease and the feelings they were having but just a little slower.. great story line thank you for posting
