“This has just been a dream holiday “
Bette looked across at her girlfriend as they took a last late night walk on the beach. They were both feeling a little drunk after Peggy’s splendidly generous hospitality.
“It has been great – its been good for us “ Bette agreed
Tina nodded “I feel closer to you “
“Good “ Bette replied “and we are going to have some fun at our parents expense when we get back”
Tina laughed “There have been some classic moments – like Helena in the café “
“There has been – that said I have to tell you that I am glad that we are telling them “
“I am looking forward to meeting your parents – they sound adorable – both of them “

Tina loved to hear Bette speaking so positively about their relationship. She also believed there was something between them that was different to all the other women she had dated. But she couldn’t help imagining what would be her mother’s words of warning. It would play on her fears that she was not good enough for Bette

Bette led them to sit under a palm tree. She sat down and looked out to sea, it looked beautiful in the half dark of the night . The moon was out and the view of the stars was enough to make her feel her utterly insignificant place in the cosmos. For a few minutes neither spoke – Bette was willing to let Tina take as long as she needed to say what was bothering her. Bette wanted to do whatever it took to allay her fears .
“When I first met you – I knew you fancied me. There was so much flirting going on between us I just thought you wanted to fuck me and that was totally fine. I was no way going to say no or play hard to get” she swallowed “I didn’t expect what has happened -. I did not expect you to make me breakfast and be so sweet or for us to get so lost in what was happening between us that the rest of the world just hasn’t really existed for me. Bette took Tina’s hand and kissed it
“I was guilty of letting Jane treat me badly – mainly because I just lost all the confidence I used to have in myself. So it never crossed my mind that it would click between us. I did not expect it – maybe that is why it freaked me out. It is wonderful though and I love you and I swear that I am going to give this everything that I can “
“I engineered that meeting in The Paramount because I googled your mom’s firm and I saw your photograph with her at the staff picnic. That was when it clicked – that was when everything that had happened slotted into place. I wanted to meet you partly because you and I were both being played. And also because I was drawn to you . How we got together is always going to be a great story but its how we do from this point on that matters. No one sets out to fall in love but it has happened and God it is mind blowing. I told Peggy that I was utterly out of my depth in the most marvellous way “ Bette looked at Tina – causing the blonde to return the look with a big smile
“Has it occurred to you just how serious this could be ?” Bette asked
Tina nodded -that was a question she had wanted to ask Bette herself
“Yeah – it is early days but – but as you say – this has really taken us both by surprise. I love you in a way that is so new to me. You are just fantastic and my feelings for you are very intense. I want this to work Bette- I am just scared of messing this up”
Bette lent over and kissed Tina on the lips
“I am not going to let you mess this up. I really believe in what we are building – and more than anything I believe in you Tina “
Tina put her hand on Bette’s side and moved closer to her. They kissed as Tina melted a little more for her beautiful lover. After several minutes Bette pushed Tina backwards and moved so she was straddling Tina as they kissed with more passion. Bette looked down at Tina
“I believe in you and I love you “ she said
Tina reached her hand upwards and touched Bette’s face “I believe in you and I love you and I believe in us – now kiss me “
Bette obeyed – grinning as she lowered herself to sink into Tina’s fantastic lips. When Bette finally pulled away she gasped

Bette kissed Tina again – slipping her hand down Tina’s shorts and slowly exploring Tina – she teased apart her pubic hairs as she took a long time reaching her target.
