Just The Girl 2.0 – Chapter Two (based loosely on HYD: Returns)
——
“Looks like they’re heading back..” Dana commented in between sips of her coconut drink, noticing the kayak heading their way in the distance.
“I knew they wouldn’t make it.” Bette smirked, looking at her two friends from behind her sunglasses.
“Maybe they got bored.” Sam yawned, bringing her hat down to her nose.
“I dunno.. something seems off..” Tina leaned forward and squinted her eyes, bringing her hands up to her face to shade her orbs.
“Hm?” Dana and Bette did the same.
“I see Shane..” Tina said slowly. “But where’s Alice?”
They all looked at each other and scratched their heads.
—–
“Shane, it was an accident!” Alice screamed from behind the kayak, sending up water into the air with the constant paddling of her feet.
“Shut up and push.” Shane snarled, leaning back against the small boat, hands resting behind her head.
“I hate you!” The blonde wailed, pushing the kayak to the shore.

The next day..
Just like everything else in the world, all good things must come to an end. And for the six well-rested friends, today was that day. With their flight back home scheduled to leave the hotel’s small airstrip at around noon, the girls dispersed into their own suites after breakfast to shower, pack and sneak in a quickie. Of course, the latter was all Shane. And if Bette was feeling really up to it again, maybe she and Tina too. But since they didn’t want to risk retarding the full recovery of her injured buttocks by pushing her body over the limit again – they decided to forego the act and focus their energies on getting ready instead.
It was during this time of preparation and packing that a panicking individual made his way to honeymoon suite 104, sweating profusely along the way. The hotel manager, a normally calm and collected man in his late forties, was the shadow of his usual self as he stood outside the thick imposing doors to Bette Porter’s room. For the umpteenth time since he had received the call summoning him up to the beach front suite, he racked his brains for something – anything – that might have rubbed his young boss the wrong way. He was pretty sure that breakfast went by smoothly – with their food served fresh and on time and their drinks refilled every few minutes. Any request was promptly fulfilled too. The service they provided was top-notch, he was sure of that. So what could she have possibly found wrong this morning?

The jellyfish part of the story is hilarious! I’m wondering what’s up with Bette right now, though. PPS
Hard times are falling down on PCG. Thanks for the update Alchemy.
Love it as usual. Thanks!
Brilliant, as always, Alchemy. Your dialogue and descriptions are so funny. The image of itchy, swollen Bette is just hilarious, especially the breakfast scene. I always look forward to your posts as they brighten any day! Thanks so much for continuing this story.
A hairbrush is a good way to help relieve the itch. Damn jellyfish and other stinging things. I guess that the economic situation is even hitting the fan fiction stories. I love Bette and Tina with their humor along with their love.
Poor Bette, she is too young to be in this economical dilemma. Is it that bad?, is she afraid she has to reduce the number of employees by firing them?, O Alchemy, I’m really hooked up and want to know what will happen :)
Okay… after the fun in the sun with Alice and Shane, and Bette’s… unfortunate (but funny)… bite on her derrière, I’m now worried. Why are the number of employees significant? Is Bette worried about the sheer amount of people she’ll have in her employ? What’s going on with Melvin? What’s happening with PGC? It’s all very ominous, but very gripping. Love the story, thanks Alchemy.
Have I told you I LOVE this story?? Their bantering is so funny & I love both the tenderness & the roughness between them. As you know the “…” are my favorites- they speak volumes..I mean I can SEE the expressions on their faces! And now you leave us hanging tooo…You are SO VERY AWESOME!!
Ok ack to reality humhum. Number of emplyee making Bette seek? Why? trouble trouble trouble. Tat was great love it as usual and sooooo funny. PPVS
What does Bette know thats upsetting her, sounds like PGC might be losing money ?
That was great, funny about Alice and Shane. Poor Bette about the itchy lol, that was funny and cute. Now let see whats going with the Porters business. Please post more, thanks!
Oh my God, I think I busted my gut when I was reading the jellyfish parts! but I sense that trouble is on the way to Bette’s life…PPS:)
