Just The Girl 2.0 – Chapter Two (based loosely on HYD: Returns)

Taking a deep cleansing breath, he steadied himself and knocked on the wood. Not a second had passed by when the door swung open and revealed the freshly showered form of the heiress, looking every bit as commanding and in-control in a tanktop and white shorts as she was when garbed in a power suit. Eyeing her visitor’s name and position on his gold plated name tag, she acknowledged the man with a slight nod and ushered him inside the suite. Grabbing her sunglasses by the bar, she lead him towards the living room and out the glass doors to the balcony. Shielding her eyes from the bright sunlight that met her there, she put on her shades before turning around to face the nervous manager.

“Thanks for coming. I’m Bette Porter.” The young woman extended a hand and introduced herself with a warm smile.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you ma’am, I’m Henry Young.” He took her hand and shook it in a firm handshake. “I’m sorry I wasn’t able to greet you personally when you arrived, I had just returned from a conference in Tokyo yesterday evening. And when I got off the phone with your father, you and your friends had already come up to your rooms to rest.” He explained regretfully.

“You talked to daddy?” Bette’s brows jumped up in surprise, momentarily losing her composure. Catching herself a second later, she coughed and evened out her voice. “I talked to him last night and he didn’t mention it. Uh.. what did you talk about, if I may ask?” She inquired carefully, wary that her father might’ve tipped the guy off and warned him about answering any of her questions. After all, she did promise him that this trip was all about pleasure – and under no circumstances would she mix business with it.

“Not much, ma’am. He just wanted to check if you and your friends were enjoying your stay.” Henry told the young girl. “And of course, he wanted to ensure that you girls are well taken cared of.” He finished off with a grin.

    “That’s it?” Bette slowly asked.

“Y-yes, I believe so.” The man stuttered a bit, confused and slightly rattled to hear the skepticism in the girl’s tone. Did he say something wrong?

    1. Brilliant, as always, Alchemy. Your dialogue and descriptions are so funny. The image of itchy, swollen Bette is just hilarious, especially the breakfast scene. I always look forward to your posts as they brighten any day! Thanks so much for continuing this story.

    2. A hairbrush is a good way to help relieve the itch. Damn jellyfish and other stinging things. I guess that the economic situation is even hitting the fan fiction stories. I love Bette and Tina with their humor along with their love.

    3. Poor Bette, she is too young to be in this economical dilemma. Is it that bad?, is she afraid she has to reduce the number of employees by firing them?, O Alchemy, I’m really hooked up and want to know what will happen :)

    4. Okay… after the fun in the sun with Alice and Shane, and Bette’s… unfortunate (but funny)… bite on her derrière, I’m now worried. Why are the number of employees significant? Is Bette worried about the sheer amount of people she’ll have in her employ? What’s going on with Melvin? What’s happening with PGC? It’s all very ominous, but very gripping. Love the story, thanks Alchemy.

    5. Have I told you I LOVE this story?? Their bantering is so funny & I love both the tenderness & the roughness between them. As you know the “…” are my favorites- they speak volumes..I mean I can SEE the expressions on their faces! And now you leave us hanging tooo…You are SO VERY AWESOME!!

    6. Ok ack to reality humhum. Number of emplyee making Bette seek? Why? trouble trouble trouble. Tat was great love it as usual and sooooo funny. PPVS

    7. That was great, funny about Alice and Shane. Poor Bette about the itchy lol, that was funny and cute. Now let see whats going with the Porters business. Please post more, thanks!
