”Okay…” Helena said calmly ”are you happy?”

”so you’re going back to work?”

”Tina has nothing to do with work.”

”Come on Bette…you hated work even before you got sick.”

”that’s a lie…I loved my job!”

”when you found out about Callie, you had a hard time coming to work, you said so yourself.”

”well…she was fucking Dr. Sloan and everyone knew about it Hel! Damn…it was plain for all to see! I felt denigrated, judged because I didn’t see…it wasn’t the surgery that made me like this, it was her, the situation…”

”So now you have Tina, Bette…she’s different from Callie…I know she doesn’t cheat, I know her too!”

”I can’t tell you I’ll be back Hel! I’m sorry…I want my time.”

”ok” Helena sighed giving up ”then think about it.”.

Tina went to the hospital, after dropping Angelica off at daycare, she really wanted to have a day just for Bette, last night hadn’t been enough, she always wanted Bette from now on.

She did the check-in with Amelia that she needed, Sheaperd had asked her about Bette and she was happy that everything was going smoothly.

Once Betge got back to the hospital, everyone would know about them, so Tina was happy to have a lot of them on their side, even if no one would stand in the way, in fact, after Callie’s betrayal of Bette, the hospital had sided with Bette almost entirely, except for a few.

Around two o’clock Tina still hadn’t heard from Bette so she called her.

”You can’t resist, huh?” Bette smiled at those words.

”What are you doing?”

”I was putting my things in the closet and throwing away totally useless things. Callie still has some things here, my God.”

There was a silence not due to Callie’s name.

”Are you there?” Bette asked

”Yes yes, I’m here…”

”Is everything okay?”

”Yes, I’m stupid.” Tina sighed feeling like an idiot ”I wanted to ask you, if you wanted to go out tonight?”

”Dinner?” Bette smiled excitedly

”Yes… a real restaurant, you haven’t been there in years and so we’ll have a serious date.”

”You don’t feel serious Tee?”

”That’s not it, you know.”

”Yes, I was playing… sorry.”

”So? Deal?”

”Angelica?”

”She’ll be with Monica…”

”Okay, what time?”

”I’ll come by your place at 7, okay?”

”Perfect.”

Tina thought about it again ”oh Bette….elegant ok?”

Bette’s loud laughter invaded the receiver ”Tee, you don’t really know me!”

Tina laughed covering her eyes for stupidity ”ok fine, see you later…be careful.”

”see you later Tee..” and Bette found herself truly alive.
