Alani: [in sympathetic tone] Apologies……it was not my intent to offend I am grateful for all you have done.

Jaeil: [without giving a response she leads her towards the deep sink]

Alani: [allows her but was upset with herself she angered her]

Jaeil: [her response caused her to smile revealing her dimples lightening the mood]

Alani: [grateful for the smile] Never knew the great warrior had teeth.

Jaeil: [understanding the jest] I do not smile often.

Alani: You should reconsider it makes you appear approachable.

Jaeil: I rather represent fear instead.

Alani: [smiling as a tear fell from her eye] You represent it well.

Jaeil: Gratitude……and for saving Lulu’s life after four miscarriages she is her mothers only surviving child.

Alani: If opportunity presented itself again I would do the same.

Jaeil: Knowing you could possibly be stoned?

Alani: [in an assuring tone] Yes.

Jaeil: [stare lingers]

Alani: You stare at me pathetically.

Jaeil: You are rare.

Alani: Words I’ve heard all my life and reason my mother struggled to find suitable suitor to call wife.

Jaeil: No woman would have you?

Alani: In me exist grave emotion my mother feared the wrong suitor would take advantage than embrace it rather than see me bore to mistreatment she continued her search.

Jaeil: She found no one?

Alani: [shaking her head from side to side] No.

Jaeil: Are you always this compassionate?

Alani: I do not know another way to be.

Jaeil: [ignoring the sudden tingling sensation she felt she hoped to change the subject again] You need to give word from this day forward no more attempts on your life.

Alani: I think its best my life was removed—-.

Jaeil: [leaning close to her] This world—-our world needs you only when you assume your place on the throne the world can begin to heal.
