Tina reaches over and touches the back of Bette’s hand, “I know, it’s in the past Babe and we are fine and we’re strong and we’re going to make it.”

Bette can feel the tears welling up, these past few days have been so emotionally draining on everyone. “Let’s talk about something else” Bette suggests looking first at Tina and then to Angie, who is still enjoying her food while talking to herself.

Tina is glad for the change of direction, she had never told Bette about Joyce coming onto her when she was pregnant. She figured that at some juncture she probably should tell Bette about it but what was weighing more on her mind was talking to Bette about the incest that her sister had inflicted on her. She still didn’t know why she told Sergeant Duffy that was her ‘first’. She had always considered that Bette was her ‘first’ and still did but somehow talking about her father’s infidelities and the break-up of her family just seemed to flood her memories with the molestation and it just sort of came out that her sister was her first experience with a woman. 

“I’m sorry what did you say Babe” Tina asks being brought out of her reverie when Bette touched her arm lightly and said, ‘T’.

“I asked if you wanted to run a bath for Angie while I clean up the dishes and the kitchen.”

“Yeah, that sounds like a plan, thanks.”

While Tina gives Angie her bath Bette cleans up the kitchen and dining area. Bette knows that she needs to tell Tina about the incident with Kelly, but how? Bette was baffled as to what Kit saw that convinced her that she had sex with Kelly. If Kit didn’t believe her how would Tina, given her past history. Bette takes a deep breath; I wish I could get my hands on that video. Why did she have a video trained on my house to begin with? What if the police have it; that would put the nail in the coffin. Jenny having evidence of me, ‘supposedly having sex with Kelly’ if that isn’t a motive to kill her I don’t know what is.

Tina is watching Bette from the hallway as she seems deep in thought sitting on the sofa in complete silence. She knows something is bothering her, but what? What could be so bad that she has chosen to not share it with me? Does she know something about how Jenny died? Tina quickly dismissed the thought, realizing that if Bette did know something it would mean her death wasn’t an accident. It was an accident, wasn’t it? It would also mean that Bette was somehow involved. That thought sent a shiver down Tina’s spine and not in a good sense. I still don’t like the idea of her getting a lawyer; it just makes it look like she has something to hide.
