"Yeah she will be ok, she need stitches to her head wound and she needs to be kept in over night but yeah she will be ok…….any word about Alice yet?" Bette asked through tears.

"No…..they just told us to wait here……has anyone called their parents?" Carmen asked.

"Lets just wait and see what they tell us first them we can call Lenore!" Bette almost whispered this.

Two hours later they were allowed to go up to a ward to see Dana. When they opened the door she was lying in the bed sleeping but she soon woke up with everyone piling into the room. Dana scanned the room, she still felt very confused she could remember leaving The Planet and standing outside waiting for a cab and laughing at Jenny, the rest is all blank….she sat up in a panic, but when she did this she went very dizzy and she had to lie back down. "Where’s Al?" Dana inquired but no-one answered, "Shane where’s Al, what’s going on will someone please tell me?" she said looking at Shane. Shane just couldn’t tell her so she did the worst thing possible she turned round and walked out the room. Dana reached up or her buzzer to ring for the nurse.

"Wait Dane don’t do that I will tell you what has happened, ok" Bette said quietly "I don’t know if you remember leaving The Planet and waiting for a cab?"

"Yes that’s all I remember, Bette please tell me Al is ok!" Dana cried

"We don’t know yet and before you start to get upset I am just going out now to see what I can find out ok, I will be back shortly Dana I promise!" Bette left the room. Shane was standing outside the room she was crying. I am going to see if I can find out anything about Alice you wanna come with me?" Better asked Shane thinking she needed a break away from everyone just now. They went back to the ER department and spoke to a few doctors they were told to take a seat and someone would be with them shortly. About twenty minutes later a tall dark haired doctor came out.

"Could Alice Pieszicki family please come with me?" the doctor shouted into the waiting room. Bette and Shane walked over to the doctor and followed him down a hallway. He turned just as he was about to open a door he spoke to Bette "Can I please have your names?" after telling the doctor their names it was explained that Alice had put Dana, Bette and Shane as her next of kin’s meaning that they could be told of Alice’s condition and also they were able to make decisions if Alice was unable to do so. "Please come in and take a seat. I’m Doctor Richardson, I am the attending consultant tonight in the ER department, I was the one treating Alice when she first arrived…." said the Doctor Bette was sitting trying to take in as much as possible of what the Doctor was saying, Shane was pacing up and down the small room." As you probably know Ms Pieszicki’s heart had stopped at the scene but thanks to yourself for acting so fast and administrating CPR, the paramedics were able to get it started again in the ambulance. Now the most serious thing that we are worried about with Ms Pieszicki just now is the bleeding in the brain we picked up on the CT scan she went for as soon as she was stable enough. She is currently in surgery to see if we can stop this and also to remove her spleen which was lacerated in the accident. Her left lung was punctured when she arrived so we inserted a tube and re-inflated it. Her other injuries are a broken left ankle, which will have to be operated on at some point, she has a broken tibia in her right leg which is the shin bone, and she also has a broken collar bone. Now that’s all I know just now but the minute she is out of surgery I will let you know, would you like to stay in here?" the Doctor asked.
