    Slow build

    “No – its okay. I just don’t deal with flattery that well “

    “Why ? Sorry – none of my business again “

    “No – no – I like talking to you Tina. We seem to get on well and you only came out a few days ago right ?”

    “And you only came out three days ago “

    Bette laughed “It seems longer “

    Tina wanted to ask Bette if she had dated men in America but she knew it would scare Bette. Gradually was how Tina would win the brunette’s trust.

    “Why don’t we do something on Friday and maybe take in a movie as well ? “ Tina suggested.

    Bette gave Tina her biggest smile – the one that – unbeknown to her was becoming one of the highlights of Tina’s day.

    “I would love to do that – a movie off campus ? “

    Tina and Bette’s eyes met. To go to the Film Soc on campus would be cheaper but would also mean that they would get talked about. Plus going off campus meant that they would both relax in their anonymity.

     

    Tina nodded “ Its good to get off campus – place can be claustrophobic “

    “So shall we say badminton at about 6 then we could go into town and see what we fancy — seeing that is. “

    “Maybe a pizza as well — in case you haven’t guess I am always hungry “ Tina said laughing.

    “it’s a dat — eh deal “

    Tina looked down at the pool which was a mistake because a gorgeous brunette walked from the changing area – one who Tina would have drooled over had she not already been sitting next to the most attractive brunette on campus.

     

    Bette saw Tina’s cheek’s go slightly red – she glanced to see what Tina was so taken by.

    “it’s a real dilemma to know where to look sometimes “ Bette said. Tina grinned

    “It is – do you think that women can tell when you are having lustful thoughts about them ? “

    “I hope not “ Bette pulled a face “ or I would have had my face slapped a few times “

     

    Tina pulled her chair in – Bette lent forward

    6. I agree with Bette Porter’s subconscious… In fact I like Bette Porter’s subconscious… Hell, I’m crazy about BP’s subconscious! I love this, and slow built is great the way you handle it! So Tina is gonna be the one singing? Well, that sounds great too! I love how they are so confortable with each other, this is so meant to be! Of course, I’m biaised. But I think that one of your great talents, Ally, is that your stories always manage to unfold a B/T relationship that is totally meant to be! Please, please post again this week end! Thanks a million… Oh, I still love your description of campus life BTW, so many memories… I LOVE ENGLAND!!!

I just love it and love how you have written our B&T—the innocence, the naivety, the way they each want the other but are afraid to do anything about it. You are such an amazing author my friend and I can never get enough of your stories.

    24. “It crossed Tina for half a nano second to tell her but that would have Bette running faster than during any beeper test. ” LOL (fyi for non-UK: a beeper test = pacer test, or shuttle run. Very fast, like a sprinting test.)

    27. Oh boy, a date! Bette and Tina are just too cute in this wonderful story. If only one of them knew what the other was thinking their little romance could move along. But such is a relationship, they take time to grow. Thanks for the saturday post; how about a sunday follow up?
